If I solo Delves as a priest with Brann as a tank

Where does the DPS come from?

Every healer should learn to damage and heal at the same time. Use this to practice.

You don’t have to constantly baby-sit him. You can spam your offensive abilities, and every time you heal him, he does an AoE damage burst around himself. He also hits like a truck on his own. I did a tier 8 delve with my holy pally as a test with Brann as a tank and he was a beast. Previously I did delves at that level with Brann as DPS but tank Brann was much smoother and I think he did even more damage.

Asking healers to do damage??

You can’t do that around here! :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

From you both! You got damage buttons

I will never understand why some healers hate this.

If you want, you could literally just heal him, I think. I’m not sure if there’s some details about boss fights that would make it impossible, but generally speaking, he does ok damage, doesn’t take much, and holds agro well. To be honest, I find tank brann a little overpowered.

Brann still does less damage at max level now than he did at level 15 in early TWW when he was bugged, but doing a delve as a healer with a tank Brann is pretty easy even if he’s still doing half the damage he did at release.

It just isn’t as natural for some specs as it is for others. Holy and Discipline for example are radically different when it comes to dealing damage and healing at the same time. Many healers simply aren’t accustomed to it as there was plenty of time when it was mostly unnecessary and your dmg potential so low as to make it mostly worthless.

I get that but what these people would prefer to do when everyone is topped off? Nothing?

Because their name is healer not hurter

I have been doing delves in Holy. Give yourself a spec layout for Delves that prioritizes Chastise and Holy Fire damage increases/cooldown reduction. Go Archon hero tree.

Chastise on cooldown (or reserve it for priority cast interruptions)
Use those instacast Holy Fires when the previous one gets to <1sec.
Halo on cooldown.
Keep SWP up
Use your shadowfiend on bigger pulls.
Remember your CC - that AoE fear button is your friend
Smite like it’s your job.

It works. It works very well.

I heal people to death!

Mostly prepare for the next wave of damage I think. Personally I don’t much see the issue. If the group needs that 300k dps they probably have bigger issues than the healer not doing damage.

Delves having a tank Brann are probably a good way for some solo healers to learn the ropes when it comes to finding time to squeeze in a bit of damage though.

No can do, I love chugging Thunder Tea and Force Lightning a group of enemies and see my party’s HP go up on my MW Monk

It feels pretty epic to open the fight close or at the top of dps on my monk lol. Falls off fast but that first few seconds of the pull feels pretty sweet.

All I really heal as is fistweaver and disc so I totally get people expecting healers to do some dps and that’s why I play the ones that are easiest and most natural to do it with.

Compared to Priest it feels nice to have an interrupt instead of seeing a hardcast go off and you can’t do anything about it :weary:

Fistweaving really vibed with me in delves.

I love it everywhere lol. Always swapping for sith lightning on trash pulls in raids, running fistweave in M+, and in delves. MW is the only monk spec I will play and honestly the best designed of the three.

I feel kinda bad for the Brewmasters but MW seems to always be in a pretty good spot.
