If i disable chat..... do my friends know?

I disabled my chatbox so i could play bg blitz without reading the crud.

I am wondering… if any1 tries to contact me while I have chat disabled… are they informed my chat is disabled or does their message just get lost and they think im ignoring them?

You would still get whispers but don’t be surprised if you get reported for throwing the game sometimes. Communication is a big part of bgs.

like xyrtran said you might get hit with gamethrowing
if someone says inc at bs or stables or flag location lol

Easy fix would be to set a DnD message saying chat is turned off when you do this.

Worst outcome is sitting in timeout for 30 minutes while you wait off a deserter debuff. I highly doubt Blizz would hand down a suspension for turning off chat in random BGs though.

I mean sure. But I would totally not like to have a teammate that does this if I’m trying to win a rated game. Callouts are so important that it could mean a win or a lose missing some of them.

But again the OP will do whatever thinks it’s fine…

That’s what pre-mades are for. This would be the risk you accept taking when you queue for randoms.

Some people may not like having unresponsive teammates. Others may not like people belligerently spamming BG chat. It’s a give and take.

Oh you’re bringing this.

Well should have known better. My bad, for thinking that I could have a different approach to this rather than using the usual buzzwording.

Have a great week.

I’m bringing the idea that random queues don’t produce predictable and desirable experiences by default?

I guess.

You can set up a window to only allow party / raid chats.

Hit G.

They do now.

Turns off chat, complains he’s stuck in 1600. Now that’s my wow community

Highly doubt Blizz actions not joining /i chat, especially considering I recall blues recommend disabling chat if folks can’t help get toxic
