Title says it all I dont understand why PvP is gear dependant and it just isn’t fun unless you spend countless hours grinding losses till you get full 639 and that’s when you can start having fun

Some would say that smoking people with less gear than you is the “having fun” part. If there was no grind aside from rating related rewards, participation would fall off a cliff

The point is to put a little teeny weeny bit of effort and get gear I was waking through the new city and got hit by a piece of conq gear that’s how easy it is to find gear.
Literally pathetically easy to get gear no excuse this is a garbage thread

full 626 gear right now vs people almost full if not full 639 2-4 set is like a bad commedy stand up that you’re forced to witness and hear.

A daily win for epic bgs gets you weekly capped. Not counting daily random bg win and avoiding blitz and arena and solo shuffle arena. No excuse my guy, not everything has to be a handout. You want to play but not play….

An epic piece is like a 1-2% dps upgrade from a green. Y’all don’t NEED a full set of em to do bgs and even if you did, they’re really not that difficult to grind out in a few hours. Sorry but this is completely a skill issue.

I completely agree.
I’ve never understood why we can’t just que for a NORMAL BG amd it literally scales everyones Gear to be equivalent. Keep rated content based upon grear, but make entry lvl pvp more more accessible.
Imagine how many more players would be interested in playing casually if they could just click que, not worry about gear, and know the reason they dying is just because they are bad.
I also wonder how many talented raiders/ M+ players would be interested.
Normal BGs, and skirms would just make everyone same ILVL, and keep rated gear dependent.
Sorry I’ve never PVPed to wreck undergeared ppl. I like a fair fight.
NOTE: current gearing is fine imo. Rather fast, but I’ve always loved the idea of just “press que”, and thats it you pvping on a level playing field.

If you’re in full 626 gear running bgs, you should be fine. 13 item levels arent the reason for your losses.
Not to mention you get 100 Bloody Tokens per daily (in warmode)… and this gear is only 3 ivl’s lower than the conquest gear.
With such a high Bloody Token cap, you can pretty much max out in that gear over a few days and probably even run some Blitzes (Blitzi?) wearing a mix.
Gearing is so unbelievably easy right now, even if green gear was worthless(and its not), it’d be nothing to be upset about.

Gearing is the easiest at the moment.
Learn to play your class and know BG mechanics. You’ll win more.

World of Warcraft is a fantasy RPG game. Character progression and grinding away to slowly increase your characters power level is central to the gameplay. They’ve already made it nearly trivial. If you always want to play on an equal footing then stay active at the beginning of every season.

People with green gear are significantly easier to kill than fully geared players and 1v1s can easily determine outcomes in some of the maps. And a team that is undergeared relative to the other team will get smoked in the teamfight as well, assuming everyone is at lesat competent with their class.

Yes, I was going to say something to that effect but decided not too. Gearing is easy, so in some cases this is a lack of knowledge issue which can extend to gameplay.
But, sometimes it is just a guy who decides to level an alt and play something new. Although I think they should avoid BGB if they are in greens and get gear in other formats first out of consideration for their potential team mates.
A couple of days ago, I fought a glad achievement warrior in green gear for shrine a few times 1v1 and was killing him rather easily… he just basically died to my opening rotation, while a geared player would have actually forced me to have to finish the fight out rather than just being an easy kill.
I play all thirteen classes and they are all at least 637 item level because I geared them all at the same time side by side rather than gearing them one at a time. I basically only need to replace some world pvp gear where it makes sense to do so.
how does one get stuck in green gear? i mean do they lose every single match? and even then…they still give conquest
