Wont we be able to just send honor to our alts and then continue getting honor on our mains? I know they said no honor vendors for the first 4 days until the release. but couldn’t you just send honor to all your alts or honor cap all of them and still be fully geared day 1 of actual release? If so the whole honor cap/removing honor vendors is pretty stupid tbh.
Probably, if we’re looking to minmax honor gain 2 weeks before the season starts when full gear is like 10k

This will likely be the case, however it wont matter since we will have 2 weeks to grind it out anyway.
My plan is to do a slow grind min maxing first time per day honor rewards such that 4 toons are ready to go with full honour gear for season launch.
You cant buy honor gear til season 1 anyway just as previous expansions.
The cap does seem pointless for the reasons you mentioned. It seems more of a placebo deterrant than anything. However, it’s also not a huge deal because you can still get honor capped in like 2 hours of winning or losing and you’re just as likely to have a pre-release honor geared guy on your team as against you, so it’s a wash overall.

They explicitly mentioned that vendors would be available upon Global Release, but that could be so people can buy profession recipes before season start
Correction- their wording is ambiguous. They said that the vendors wouldn’t be available during early access, but didn’t specify when they would be available only that they will be available when everyone has access. They specified that bloody tokens and conquest won’t be earned until s1 start tho
Its been many expansions where honor vendors weren’t there til S1. Its not new.

The point is that you can bank 4K Honor amongst any character to circumvent the 15K cap thus buying your full honor set Day 1. The 4K limit until gear is released “to keep things fair for those without early access” is a joke (if your are allowed to transfer honor).
