Hint: I NEVER did.
That does not change the fact the vast majority of those that say they would play classic even IF the non vanilla QOL convenience of guild banks were added to classic are retail players.

Iām #nochanges, but Iād much rather have gbanks than sharding or loot trading. Sharding destroys the community feel of the game, Loot trading can be easily abused. Gbanks mostly just stop guilds from either wasting character slots on their own account or paying for an extra account.
They could be abused by single players having so much extra storage space I guess.
Still, after all that #nochanges plz

If #nochanges had to compromise, and had to pick between having guild banks OR having sharding and/or player trading and no guild banks, you could bet they would take guild banks. Bet.
Iām a #nochanges player, and I say leave Classic exactly as it was. But pick your battles better and focus on reversing decisions we know have been made, and not get bogged down in hypotheticals.
Freakinā guild banks are the least of my concerns.

Iām just telling you what has been publicly stated by blizzard. The initial goal was something closer to a museum piece, that would require maintenance upkeep and nothing more. They donāt need to make retail players happy with this because they already get money from them. If they get a healthy-ish stable-ish long term player population made up of return subs, this will be a net success for actiblizz.

I had personal experience of a guild bank alt ninjaing items for himself and then pointed the finger at me to cover his tracks.
Itās a known fact guild bank alts had account sharing going on in many instances. Which is against the ToS. Which is also a security risk.
Iām not saying these things will happen with e ery guild bank alt, but I am saying if itās left to the guild bank alt system, it WILL happen. Because out of hundreds of guild bank alt holders, I garenee to you that at least one of them will use the guild bank alt for free gold. At least one guild will account share the guild bank alt. And at least one of those guilds sharing an account for the guild bank alt will have a security breach because of it.
Thatās what happened in vanilla, and if the same systems are used now that the potential for the perfect scam that the guild bank alt is known for, itās very likely we will see more instances of scams from them than we did in the past, just from Susie the gold seller trying to get easy gold for real world $$$.

I will play whether guild banks are in or not. I donāt want them in, but my hype for classic is stronger than my dislike of changes.
