There were a lot of changes across all the expansions (mostly in TBC expansion) that are in alignment with the spirit of pre-expac WOW.
For example…the Burning Crusade LFG system. It was a communication tool that promoted self organizing groups…and FAR more effective than using /who and cold calling random players that fit the level / class specs you were looking to fill your group with.
Just because I’d be in support of TBC’s LFG system doesn’t mean I’d support the current automated grouping / teleportation LFG system in BfA.
I will play depending on RL, as I’m starting a career and don’t know how much time I will have. But if guild banks are not added, I won’t be donating anything to someone’s personal slush fund.
Is it just me or does anyone else notice the vast majority of those who answer “yes, they would still play IF guild banks were added” are RETAIL PLAYERS?
Imagine that. RETAIL PLAYERS are saying they will play classic even if modern QOL conveniences are added to it.
I wonder how many of those RETAIL PLAYERS would say they would NOT play Classic without those modern QOL conveniences.
Same here. Guild Banks will have literally zero impact on me playing or not, and zero impact on the actual game play. Even when I played with them in TBC and WotLK I still had my own bank alt that I mailed stuff to; I’d dump some mats and other items I knew the guild could use into the GB and keep the rest for myself, either to AH or to hold onto long term. Basically the same thing I’d do without GB’s, so no difference.
Well I gave the no change guild bank thread a go for discussion and have been net with name calling, actual slander, and accusations.
All the while every single point of my counter points to the OP’s in that thread went ignored.
While the OP screamed. “I’m right you’re wrong”.
I walked away from that mess and they said my name 3 times. Summoning me back.
So now I’m giving as I received.
Onto this OP.
I’m not bargaining with anything I am genuinely curious who will play or not if they are added.
I could easily change it to “Will you still play if guild banks are not added”.
To give it a bit more no changey feel but its still just a simple honest yes or no question.
If you want to debate the merits of adding or not adding guild banks I’m awaiting rebuttals of my counter points to that other threads OP in the actual guild bank thread.
Id be more than happy if someone picked up from where she left it because she did cover most of the points that have been used.
This thread however is a simple yes or no.
Reasoning can be added but not important.
Hasn’t blizzard said exactly the opposite of this? Isn’t there a quote saying long term they don’t care if it’s tens of thousands of players or tens of players, they want to recreate the game as close to as it was as possible?
Servers are not free and neither are developers. Unless the plan is to basically have it in maintenance mode with no further updates.
There are things in Classic that were never truly realized as BC expanded on it so quickly. My guess is without a BC update it starts to turn into more of a sandbox as player hit max level, wreck the content then start coming up with their own events.
