just as much evidence as you have that its false ![]()
That’s not the way the world works my friend.
You’re the one making the claim. Onus is on you.
“Onus Probandi”
im making the claim, not for you to believe it or not, idc. its fact in my experience. this isnt a court of law.
Ok sure. If you want to concede you’re just saying things without any logic or fact to back up your claims then fine. But say that so we all know how much weight to give what you say. ![]()
yes im saying my experience is all the hard evidence i have. and all you have to refute it is the same. glad we know we’re on a forum where a large amount of posts are of the same quality.
have a good one ![]()
Because that would require Blizzard to hire GM’s to manage the game.
Looks like you do, otherwise you wouldnt reply.
There is no excuse for buying gold. People like you should be permabanned
The biggest problem is that they can’t because cause one Whether people know it or not they’re playing with but gold I’m sorry but when someone drops out of you heard about what happened in sunwell but somebody paid a million For the legendary bow and it wasn’t even a hunter it was a Warrior.
Yeah wrap your head around that And my understanding everybody in that raid minimally left that raid with 30K.
The problem is there’s already so much golden circulation It’s impossible to track down all that gold especially when you take an account how broken the economy already is on top of that players wouldn’t want any of the fixes where blizzard could track it down easily.
Yes I’m talking about a gold reset putting nobody who would want it Now at this particular point I still say the wow token would do more good than bad.
Because the game is already paid to win On top of that blizzard has a financial incentive to let this keep going on.
If hot take it’s the same reason why they didn’t put in RFD because They make more money if they don’t.
On top of that when you have so many bots so many people buying gold and people are exchanging so much money regularly it’s a lot harder to track down while which gold is fake and which gold is it which gold is it or which gold was bought And which gold wasn’t.
Because even an astronomically huge amount of gold now is so commonplace it’s even harder for them to track down while this gold was bought and this gold was clearly part of A gdkp.
On top of that it becoming the more popular way to raid And what my fear is in wrath It’s going to become the way to pug which is terrible and itself.
At this point I would say that tbc It’s more pay to win then retail is Yeah I said it But the bottom line is this the only way for blizzard to get ahold on this at this point.
Is to do a complete gold reset and if they did do that so many people would be furious and quit On top of that we saw what happened when they did this in SoM 50%of the player base was temporarily banned for gold bite what is that tell you.
So yeah And yes you could make the argument while final fantasy 14 does a lot better job of dealing with this well yeah you can’t really buy power in final fantasy 14 it’s structured completely differently.
Now we could sit there and make some arguments that final fantasy 14 dozen a lot of things better than World of Warcraft in either version but that’s a post in itself.
Anyway that’s my take
I really dont think its exaggerated. I remember going crazy in classic waking up at 5am every day before work to try to get rich thorium veins in azshara to get lionheart helm.
Finally asked the other warriors in the guild how the hell they managed to get the gold for everything they had and quickly learned I was literally the only one of the 6 of us who wasnt buying gold.
I play with a few RL friends and almost every single one has bought gold on numerous occasions. Its pretty prolific and it makes perfect sense… we’re not teenagers anymore. We used to have all the time in the world but no money. Now we all have money but precious little time.
And yours is what exactly lol…
Assumptions based on the .0001% of players who use the forums lol
Truth, long ago it was a passion of the OG’s now the leftovers and the vets there are making things just to keep the $$ flowing…
Blizzard noticed that a lot of people who got suspended on their main - important - account, behaved once their suspension was up. They had something to lose by misbehaving again and some thing to gain (keep) if they continued good behavior.
Once someone was banned, they had a tendency to just creat a new account and do the exact same garbage as before just trying a little harder not to get caught, or do more damage before they did.
Enacting strict bans instead of progressive suspensions increases recidivism.
/sigh
They really don’t. The amount of gold buying going on in TBCC is unprecedented. A smaller population plays the game than original TBCC but the amount of gold buying going on is hundreds of times higher than it was back in the day.
Agreed!!! I’m glad you brought this up. I take pride in farming the old fashioned way. What really pisses me off is to see all these swipelords trying to throw their money at GDKPs and boasting to level. I have heard about the recent ban wave this week and come to find they are suspended for 6 days? Lol!
Like 3 of my buddies guilds have reached out for me to tank for them because they are hard stuck with a diminishing roster.
/drumroll
Because of a 6 day suspension???
You must really be hurting for subs if you are giving slaps on the wrist.
Blizzard owns some of the gold buying sites, thats why.
This is rich coming from someone who was suspended for exploiting in order to make gold.
The answer to this question is very simple:
Banning sellers AND buyers permanently - aka the only way to TRULY break the RMT cycle - will make MAUs look bad. Shareholders are more equal than players, thus shareholders get first consideration.
Theres a reason the meta mantra with Blizzard games is “Exploit early, exploit often.”
Make new account, buy boost, buy gold, get full gear in a week.
People will say this but stll participate in boosting, GDKP, and everything else that makes buying it so prevalent in the first place. It’s why I don’t really do end game content in Classic, it doesn’t matter.
They certainly don’t. There is a reason there are 100 sites selling it and servers are infested with indonesian gold farmers. That reason is because they can’t make it fast enough to keep up with demand and it puts food on their table. It is highly lucrative in an economy barely above a 3rd world country.
