If you mean “if you are no longer required to be part of a faction based on your race, but instead you can choose whichever faction you want to be a part of on any character,” then I would choose… well, that’s a tough one.

Assuming Sylvanas gets the boot (or, preferably, the headsman’s axe followed by an ignominious impromptu dumping into a volcano accompanied by a load of manure for good measure), I’d take the Horde over the effeminate, ineffective callow-faced boy king and his slavering dog. The Night Elves don’t respect him, the Draenei aren’t really helping him as much as they probably should be (unless they just crashed their supership again, in which case, they’re not of any use anyway), and he’s only managed to do so well in the war so far because Sylvanas is a ravening idiot. :stuck_out_tongue:

The real Horde has honor, and acts directly. The Alliance stands about “planning” and “discussing” and wringing their hands while people die. I’ll take the people that will try, thank you very much.

If factions are gone, why would I choose any faction? It would be a free-for-all and the game would implode within a year.

I assume they mean like Elder Scrolls Online. In that game you can be any race but choose your faction. We’d have orcs in the Alliance and gnomes in the Horde, it would be madness! I’m not sure how I feel about it though, I guess I probably wouldn’t mind…would take some time getting used to it though.

I know what they mean. The sarcastic person that I am had to riff on the phrasing though. If you could choose either faction, regardless of race, what would it be.
