If faction balance is REALLY that much of a problem for you

Then stop playing pvp servers. You’re never going to maintain a perfect balance between the factions, ever. The odds aren’t and will never be in the favor of keeping it.

I don’t expect Blizzard to maintain perfect balance. I’ve been fine with 60/40 as the minority faction. It is when you begin tipping below that point where you’re approaching 2 to 1 odds that PvP in the world and World PvP objectives start to feel not just unfair but insurmountable.

I think we can all agree that good games are predicated on some level of fairness or at least the perception of fairness, i.e. that wins and losses don’t feel like an inevitable conclusion all the time.

I don’t think anyone on a 70/30 server has that.

The global PvP horde to alliance ratio is 60/40. Policing faction balance around that level on pvp servers is a doable thing.

in a game based on faction warfare and racial genocide the idea that you can’t attack someone of the opposing faction that you are actively engaged in conflict with and have been for years is arguably the dumbest and most immersion breaking thing you could do to the game.

I tend to agree with this sentiment as well. Wpvp is a part of immersion for me, in addition to a facet of community building where you have PvP rivals and allies on your server–sometimes even to the degree of having pseudo factions. It is an important fun part of the game for me.

I don’t have anything against people that are not about it and play PvE, but it’s not for me.
