If EXP is off can you not get into BG?

turned exp off at lvl 19 to enjoy low lvl pvp and i have been is ques for over an hour.

Queues are separate for characters with their experience turned off.

If you’re looking to gear up and park yourself in a bracket, I’d recommend the 20-29 bracket on a free-to-play account or the 110 bracket on a legion-capped account (mind you these will change with the level squish and new expansion). If you just want to enjoy PvP while you level, why not PvP to level? Your stats scale up to the highest level allowed in the bracket (if you’re level 33, you’ll appear as a level 39 in a BG).

that would make since to stop people from making twinks

Well enjoy your low level PvP then. :joy:

options for you to play in 19:

  1. partysync with someone 10-19. as a dk you’ll have a bit of an advantage with most of your skills still active AND the runeforge on your weapons is active. when syncd your enchants and gems get turned off.

  2. make a throwaway toon with boas. once you ding 20 send the boas to a new one, level to 10 then start all over with bgs. honor is acount wide and you can even mail your marks to the new guy.

  3. if you hurry and gear a level 20 then let your account expire you’ll be considered a veteran account and be able to play for free as a level 20 in xp on games.

19’s stink tho. no mounts and if you’re not one of 4 classes you’re going to die alot.

lower level toons at the bottom of the bracket get a bit of stamina and thats it. no magic scaling to equal out gear discrepancies. everyone having the same number next to their name is misleading.

They should Just allow the first digit of the bracket to join the normal bracket while xp-off. e.g. if you’re level 10, you can lock your xp and join 10-19 BG, but if you’re 11 and lock your xp, then you can’t, and can only join locked xp BG with other locked 10-19 characters. The amount of gear and item levels available at the first level of a BG bracket is really limited and inferior compare to mid-high end of the bracket, so doing that would finally re-introduce twinks into the common player pool without breaking the delicate balance of clicking levelers pillow fighting each other.

I came back after years of not playing to BG @ lvl 19 bracket! Defeats the whole purpose of me paying. Will not be renewing my subscription!

that’s actually how you play 20’s right now. build the 20, let sub run out. enjoy!

I feel bad for you and others in your shoes. Blizzard really did slip the coup de grace in a very shady way. Remedial players have just as much right to play their twinks as normal players have to play their normal toons.

There has got to be a better way to handle this so that everyone wins. We know that telling levelers to stop and gather a bunch of gear that will be obsolete in a day or two is not practical. We also know that keeping twinks out of normal BGs just because they’re not good at World of Warcraft is not fair and almost discriminatory.

I honestly agree mate. I picture it like this. It would be like if you were working for while and you were doing everything good, decent cash flow, etc. Then, the government took everything you earned away from you making everything you ever did up until that point moot. Completely worthless. Granted, not all is lost for twinks. They can still que up. But what is the point if the que time is like 10 hours long. And regardless of what other’s might think, there are people who want to play their bloody twinks. So i say, let em.

I played mine back in 2008 to 2009. Collected dust until legion. Played them from legion to bfa. Collecting dust from patch 8.1.5 till whenever a fix comes in. Some of you folks will never understand what these player’s actually lost, and i feel there should be something done to mete out justice for everyone, including the leveling players.

I propose a solution at this point, because in my mind, i just want to pvp on my toons that invested a ton of time and energy into at this point. Basically, my proposed solution would be this. Basically, anyone that ques up into a bg with their exp turned off get’s a stat template turned on to their character, making them not overpowered, and pretty much the same as anyone leveling through. After all, that is the main reason twinks are hated correct. Because they were broken and op and unfair. Well, a stat template for exp off only players to merge the ques would certainly solve that problem.

I mean, any argument someone presents to me, i will block with a counter argument, because, at the end of the day, who cares. All i care about is having the ability to que up and pvp on my toons that i want to pvp on, in the bracket i want to pvp on. That is all. Beggars cannot be choosers, but seriously. Adding a stat template for anyone who ques into a leveling bg with their exp turned off would make everyone fighting against each other balanced. And, twinks could actually pvp with decent que times.

You would que up with your experience turned off, you would get a message stating that this would add a stat template to your toon, yes or no. If you said no, you would just que up and your bg que would be separated from the levelers. But heck, at this point, we would not even need that option. It is like, who cares about any of the other arguments against or for twinks at this point. Just let us pvp with decent ques. If i wanted balance in pvp, i would play a different bloody game. World of warcraft has some of the most rediculous pvp ever. It will never be balanced. Ever. Not even close.

So yah blizzard. Stat templates for exp off toons to merge ques to make things fair and prevent any twinks from completely being op or unfair in leveling bgs. Do it.

I don’t disagree with you, but putting a common stat template on a twink would still negate the time spent on grinding selected gear items with desired stats totally pointless would it not, if it will be down scaled upon entering the battle ground. I mean we all know the point of grinding the best gear for any said bracket whether being 10-19, 20-29, max lv is to do the best possible damage/healing or whatever, within the match. I feel stat capping to a even playing field would just take away the joy and rewarding feeling that the player gets after doing said grinding for max performance in pvp.

I can understand a cap that allows you to still be slightly better than the average pillow that you will meet in bg’s but not to a proportion in which you step on them without knowing they existed. That way players who do put time and effort still feel rewarded for the hard work they put in and won’t have to wait 10hrs for ques due to xp locking, and pillows won’t feel like they are being man handled like a pillow at a slumber party anytime they que in for a fun way for xp that provides different scenery from the quest/dungeon level grind.

p.s blizz if you’re reading this I would recommend pulling back hunter damage currently within shadowlands, it’s the embodiment of the phrase “being man handled like a pillow at a slumber party” There’s nothing more frustrating than being two shot by a marksman hunter using aim shot with less gear within BG’s/Wpvp/Arena’s and having them back peddle away as they stagger your movement speed. Also it’s not just the fact hunters damage is insane but the combination of half the team being hunters that ads salt further more to the wound. There has been plenty of times i’ve que into an army of hunters grave respawn camping my team because they can’t get a chance to cast a single spell let alone match up to the magnitude of damage a marksman hunter is able to produce.

They can just make a level 20 twink then. Twinks should count themselves lucky they even get to play infinite bgs without paying a dime on the account.

I heard a rumor that F2P may be raised to level 50 (and that may be a total rumor, can’t remember where I read it) Is that unfair to twinks?

So apparently this is what FF14 does. Free to play until lvl 60 (max is 80). Which is roughly the equivalent of lvl 45-50 in wow. They probably should just copy FF14, it’s way more successful.

lvl 20 is broken because certain classes don’t have enough abilities to compete in pvp. Which is party why hunters completely dominate the bracket. People try f2p at 20, get instantly deleted by a hunter twink from 50+ yards then just quit lol, great business model.

Yep, Think about the creation of this class. (For this bracket)
Lets give them one of the best defensives in the bracket, a heal, and the best damage by far. Let them do it from a distance, with abilities to get away and keep enemies away.
In an area where nobody else really has them.

Mau, Gold or Token (cash), nobody rides for free!
The house always wins.

I have not heard this rumor. I am skeptical. It makes no sense to make 1-50 free to play while a lot of people are still paying monthly for level 50 accounts.

At this point in this expansion I doubt making that change would bring in new players who would end up playing end game competitively.

I have 5 accounts. I would save a bundle of money if they did this. I would be pleasantly surprised if it happened. I might even start new accounts.

However, if a level 50 free to play account you are saying is rumored were to have the same restrictions as present level 20 starter accounts (can’t use chat, can’t form groups, can’t use AH, can’t trade with other players, can’t have enough gold to buy faster flight or upgrade a garrison), that would be a horrible marketing tool.

I could be totally wrong it may have been a suggestion thing only I just can’t remember where I saw it/read it.

You can still get in with XP off! Just look up xp off exploit, trust me blizzard does not care one bit if you abuse it, nobody ever gets banned for using it.

Is this the 95% one? Or is there a new one? Usually there is a new one, but I remember hearing from somewhere the 95% one got patched? It’s been a bit.
