If elves and draenei eyes glow

Then how do they fall asleep with all that light under their eyelids? Does it work like a refrigerator and go off when they shut their eyes?

They may not have the same issue with light and sleep humans and other non glowy eyed races do?

Or perhaps it’s a part of how they see and the glow is simply Inmaterial to them?

Liadrin tucks us all into bed individually and reads us bedtime stories. I don’t know what the Night Elves do.

We sleep during the day.

I assume they glow because of the tapetum lucidum, its behind the retina and its why some animals eyes appear to glow.

When they shut their eyes there is no light to reflect, so no glow.

Hmm… Something with elves clearly can change the color of light reflected depending on… Magic in the area /exposure.

I’m sure it does just boil down to magic but It doesn’t hurt to overthink it :slight_smile: Would make sense for NE and Worgen to have them as they are also important for night vision~

Why don’t humans have them? Are they not descended from the titans’ own children, the spawn of pure arcane power?

Because creatures like primates and pigs don’t need them, they are diurnal so none for humans or orcs.

Maybe my theory makes more sense than magic after all~

I feel that it’s like having a light bulb right in front of your eyes while they’re closed.

Druids do it in Bear form. We also make great snuggle buddies.

I think the Draenei gotta plug in the cord to recharge themselves for there eyes to glow…

Elves, we are just car headlights. We just switch off at a flick of a button.

Gosh, that’d be weird to think about. You just get this bright as hell look at the inside of your eyelids like someone lit a candle in your dome. Eugh.

You think regular Elves and Draenei have it bad?

My eyes have been flames ever since I saw the vision of Sargeras.

On top of that I have a constant spectre sight of everything around me.
