Since the lore regarding the playable races was tossed sadly, I was gonna ask can we get perma visage from evoker now BUT on second thought I’d ask for The San’layn customization first.
Man’ari Eredar are legit demon draenai, like perma evil demon people so why not let the vampires join the club.

I think the relative one would be Felblood Elves. But San’layn features wouldn’t be bad either.
While it would be very cool, I would much rather other races besides elves get some noise on future customization first.
I’m still bitter that we won’t be getting upright undead.
I have been thinking about a list of “edgy” or dark race options now that the edgiest of all are being added. I have a ton already for the horde and a few for the alliance.
Horde: san’layn, fel blood elf, fel totem, fel orc, fel nightborne, fel orc, grimtotem, blood troll and maybe some sort of scourge skeletons.
Bonus points for forsaken K’thir through the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow.
Alliance: man’ari, night elf druids of the flame, leper gnomes, dwarf stormforged, and human cultist skins.

We have undead customisation options for elves already though.
I think with the Dark ranger appearance you can do some visual vampire-esque appearances.
Might be a bit when/if they go for San’layn appearances but I imagine them and the Human acolyte appearance will come hand in hand.

Even if we did, Blizzard has shown they don’t care about lore, right?
I think the best that could be hoped for is cosmetics. Better wings than the DF collectors edition for sure. DH has access to hand and feet pieces that add claws.
Hell, if you could actually use the dark ranger skin on a belf DH you could make a pretty convincing replica. Sadly…

Is San’layn like the dark ranger skin but with golden eyes? I don’t actually know the distinction.
Night Elf mages is explained via the Highborne rejoining the Kaldori society back in cata (WoWpedia does a good breakdown of the lore, as well as the book Wolfheart)
As for the Lightforged and Mag’har, I think at this point bliz is just tryna do fun>lore which is fine.
Although I think bliz is very intentionally trying to break down the race/class barriers given how the story telling in the last to expacs have been going. The Light can do necromancy was a big part of the “Return to Lordaeron” story line at the end of SL as well as the pre-expac book for BFA. Even in the warlock class quest that was just added (and in some of the classic wow warlock stuff/belf story in BC) we can see that Fel is more of a power source that can be highly addictive and corrupting than anything else, so I guess they can justify a LF warlock by saying it’s just a LF using their enemy’s power. Another weird one is the Night Elf, Human, and Nightborne shamans that keep popping up with the Primalists, which means we may eventually have them become a playable class for those races. Maybe in the future we’ll confront the remaining San’layn and convince them to join the Horde (which could lead to Necromancers in my copium pipe dreams)

I dunno, with their leaders (Kil’Jaeden, and Archimonde) perma dead, it would make sense that some of the Man’ari would try to find a new purpose to their life. Maybe some of the Man’ari legit want to redeem themselves, even if that path is hard for them to walk.
Even Kil’Jaeden’s final words seem to imply that the only reason he still fought for the Legion was because he thought there were no way win to against it.
Kind of, but doesn’t have the extent of customizations, so I do hope those come in the future. I’d like Felblood as well. Those tiny cute wings!

I agree, I get it for players but I do hope it stays out of the story.
Then super disagree. Make it a void elf/ blood elf customization. And before it’s said I know the bloodwar almost added the San’layn to Horde. I’d lock in a year or more sub if I saw San’layn customization.
Heck, as of a few min ago wow head showed fire nightelf models. Seems we may be in for a treat.
Yee, I figured it would be a customization-type thing similar to when we got the Dark Rangers when I said they’d join the horde. I hadn’t actually seen the fire nelf thing yet, thanks for pointing that out, they look awesome!
