If development is halted

Halt our subscription fees.

Yeah something should be done there.

We paid full box price for game, we’ve been paying sub for a while now, and barely anything’s been developed.

That’s over billion since launch in subs/tokens/shop stuff, + box sales.

I genuinely believe that if Blizzard gets through this, we’ll be compensated.

Wait, what? Did they say they’re halting development - as in Shadowlands is the last wow expansion?

I hear what you’re saying, but we are just paying for access to the server/game.

No.

One of the developers tweeted that they have halted work after the announcement of the lawsuit…which has been 5 days now, 2 of which were non-work days.

The real question is how long will it last.

Some developers on Twitter (Their second job, twittering) said that production has all but halted.

I hope so.

Obviously I’ll stop playing when I run out of content. I didn’t play 9.0 the entire time it was current.

You realize you’re able to halt your own subscription fee, right? In fact I bet a lot of the devs would appreciate that.

However, if you’re in these threads to complain about the devs not doing enough to earn your precious $15, you should go outside. Workers getting a good workplace is more important than a game. Very simple

No OP, you need to keep paying and be happy at the release time line or else you are part of the problem!

How about no.

You can choose to unsub if you want to. You weren’t going to get new content in 6 months anyway even if there weren’t any delays thanks to this mess. The content that is coming as 9.1 continues to unlock is all you’d be getting in the short term.

If it bothers you that much, unsub and don’t play.

I gave you a like because in theory I kind of like the idea. If they went subscription fee-less for a couple of months it might even get more players into the game and into the new content. They won’t do that though because the subscription fee is for maintenance and stuff. They’ll be continuing that.

I didn’t read it as an official, corporate-level halt to development, but rather an almost complete lack of productivity out of employee frustration and concern.

At an old job, we received the news that our company was being sold to a huge non-US corporation; productivity all but stopped as we all sat around stunned and concerned, wondering what was going to happen to us and our jobs and all that. We didn’t get back to normal for almost a week, until we got further clarifications both from our own management and the management of the non-US corp buying us.

I can only imagine how much worse it is for the Blizzard employees who were not involved in all the horribleness that the lawsuit alleges.

Just unsub and move on. There are far better games out there now. If they fix the game and their culture then resub later if you really want to but why in god’s name would you pay for this crap right now?
