As well as my favorite Warglaives… I got them from hunting other Demon Hunters.
But they are Demon Hunters.
They are supposed to hunt Demons.
But they are also Demons.
So they should hunt themselves!

Illidan himself tells the player that they have a Demon soul now when they die in the Demon Hunter starting experience.

Demon hunters become such by consuming a demon’s soul. From that point on, they’re in a constant struggle to contain the demon inside of them while using its power for their own means. Essentially they are walking demon prisons, but they aren’t actually demons themselves.
Of course, if they lose that internal struggle, the demon takes over and they become possessed/full demon.

They have a demon /soul/ bound to them, this does not make them Demons technically.

They did hunt down demon hunters who joined up with the Legion for…reasons. So they did hunt each other.
Being a Demon is defined by being infused with Fel Magic. That’s literally the only requirement. Demon Hunters are infused with Fel Magic, that’s why they grow horns, wings and scales.

Why do people say ‘ATM machine’, or ‘PIN number’? Automatic teller machine machine? Personal identification number number?
So they will all die?
Even if all the demon hunters were dead, you’re still not getting metamorphosis back
