Then why have only pro private server guilds downed the end game bosses?
Where are the average joes with their superior skills at?

It’s been literally 1 week since release almost to the exact time… just relax
As a general rule, average Joes don’t have superior skills.
Wait for the vast majority to hit 60. We’ll have a much better picture of where MC stands then.
People who say it’s too easy are talking smack.
Two guys at work tried classic, kept getting rekt, tucked their tails and went back home to retail.
To farm mounts, i kid you not.
They are actually angry about it too.
My taunting doesn’t help I’m sure.
" awww the big bad kobolds take your candles guys?"

Exactly. It’s like saying swimming at Olympic records is easy because an athlete has managed to complete it. When in reality, the average joe from the suburbs would be on struggle street.
90% of them are retail players. Just ignore them.
Diehard players did diehard things. Average Joe’s skills are typically not diehard level of skill. Average Joe tends to work a job, spend time with their SO and family/friends. They rarely get the hours in a diehard does.
I wouldn’t try to judge the game based on the skillsets of a very lower percentage of the playerbase.
Because it’s 1.12.
Average Joe’s are playing the game at their own pace.
Taking our times.
We’re not in a hurry to clear raids. We’re leveling up. Doing quests and quest lines.
We’re enjoying the game. We don’t care if other people are exploiting layering and skipping everything.
We’re having fun.
i’m shocked that the best private server guild in the world cleared the content they are experts at faster than a hardcore retail guild that thought “hurr private server kids suck and we’re way better”
Level 30-40 or lower. Because we don’t know speedrunning routes from 15 years ago.
Let’s not pretend molten core will present any sort of obstacle to a modern organized group of raiders. It was barely an obstacle in 2005.
BWL should, there are dps checks and gear checks.
This is the same situation as Wrath of the Lich King Naxx. The top guilds clear it in a blast, the casuals scream ‘no but its still hard’, and then 2 weeks later when they cap, they can PuG it if they have DBM on their first try. Once we have a bossmod, there’s no excuse for any player to be unable to clear MC. Azshara has more mechanics than MC has combined.
APES did it in greens, with no consumes, comfortably. Their ony kill had half of their 34 man raid dead by 60% of the bosses’ health and they killed it.
The sim difference between 0 consumes and full consumes is like 75%. Apes did MC and Ony comfortably wearing rags. You simply don’t understand how little APES did to clear it. They didn’t use flasks, potions, and didn’t have prebis or anything close to it. Their gear was a hodgepodge set of leveling pieces and what dungeon gear they could get on their way to 60. half their raid wasn’t even 60. One of their paladins was level 38.
In addition to the lack of gear, consumes, levels, etc, the classes really don’t have a skill cieling in Classic. A bad player is going to generally have similar output to a good player. Most classes have 1-3 buttons that they press on cooldown. there is no skill development that can separate good players from bad ones. A genuinely bad player in Prebis will do more DPS than the majority of the APES players, because there’s minimal room for skill expression.
MC is a joke. Don’t overestimate the content because the top players have cleared it. The level of preparedness they had coupled with the ease of clear makes me think that endgame PvE won’t be very relevant as a bragging right.
And players that stayed up for 24+ hours straight playing for a week w/ no job and no responsibilities are better than me how?
MC is entirely different to Naxx. I doubt we’ll see the ease in BWL, much less AQ40.
I don’t think you understand how mechanically easy the fights are by modern standards.
When will you guys get it through your heads? It’s not about who had more mechanics. It’s about trash that one shots you and then wipes the raid. No one ever said it’s the mechanics, it’s how dangerous they are. Run out or the raid wipes. How many people can’t seem to pay attention enough to drop a void zone out side the raid? Do that in MC and the raid wipes.
You guys have a very different definition of hard than the people who are saying it was hard.
It’s really cool when people use the experience of people that aren’t them doing things they’ll never be able to do as a measure
Dude. a void zone? You think that people won’t move? People are used to auto pilioting out of void zones. Basically every other fight in the last 5 years has had them on top of a myriad of other lethal mechanics. People dont even need mods to alert them to it anymore. And even if they do, you think GTFO won’t get downported?
Even then, I’ve done the classic raids, within the last year, within 6 months of mythic raiding. The private servers are overturned by design and even there, the raids are just piss easy. There’s nothing that can challenge a retail raider in Classic. On private servers, sure, a void zone might wipe you. 1.12 had a poor addon suite, Classic has a great addon suite.
You need to accept that back in 2004, you, and everyone else who played with you, were absolutely garbage at the game by modern standards. You may have been contextually good back then, but the rate of skill growth in the raiding scene is huge. The players now have such better tools, and such better game sense.
