SoD end is near. With that, comes the unknown. Will there be a classic+, will there be another seasonal server, or will there be nothing?
If classic+ does happen here are a few things it needs.
-A dedicated dev team. A team that’s only purpose is classic+. This is where SoD flopped. The already limited dev team was pulled in multiple directions for multiple projects. This stopped them from giving it their all on SoD.
-Barbershops. Cuz i needs me a new hairdo
Limited, minor class changes. Nothing like SoD where literally all the new abilities did 100× more damage than the original abilities. Some of the class changes made in SoD were nice. Such as the changes that made obsolete specs more viable throughout the entire experience from start to endgame.
-New content. New quests, dungeons, raids, etc. Let’s get some of that content that was cut back in the day.
-new gear (maybe) this one is iffy. We need a reward to do new content. New gear can be offered, but don’t go crazy with the stats. Keep them in line with vanilla.
My opinion on classic+ is extremely jaded since they clearly don’t know how to correctly improve upon the game without ruining it if sod is any indication 99.99% chance classic+ flops.
Arena is a bad idea as well, i do not wish to get matched against snutz who is boosting people for 5 grand
Reworked PVP system that encourages actually playing PVP seems like the most obvious improvement to classic WoW. Endless queuing and ignoring the PVP mechanics shouldn’t result in any reward.
World PVP is something that WoW was all about in the beginning but they moved away from that (I assume it was due to server limitations at the time).
I wouldn’t mind arenas or duel leagues that would reward players with titles and cosmetic items.
Classic+ doesn’t have to be some entirely new experience.
Do a few QOL changes like more debuffs lots on enemies, rebalance a few weak specs, tweak a few ‘meme’ items, add a new dunegon or raid (ZG 40 or Naxx 20).
I just want to play Classic and have it be a slightly improved experience.
my thoughts as well. Let certain specs and classes come online in content that they aren’t currently and add some new quests and a new raid (THAT ISNT SUPER OPPRESSIVE AND INVALIDATES THE REST OF THE RAIDS) perhaps a new zone or two if we’re feeling spicy.
