If classes/specs had Ultimates/Limit breaks

Ignoring any semblance of balance of course, but it was just something that popped in my head the other day while playing Overwatch and thought it would be fun to see what crazy ideas people come up with. If Warcraft specs had “legendary abilities” or Ultimates what would they do? Here are a few I came up with.

Priest

Holy: Final Prayer - Instantly revives 3 fallen allies and restores their health to full. Caster is also turned into a Seraphim and is able to fly for 2 minutes with increased mana regen.

Discipline: Grand Sanctuary - Grants a powerful shield to all allies instantly that absorbs x amount of damage and converts it to healing.

Shadow: Echo of the Void - Caster fully embraces the void and erupts in massive AOE shadow damage and summons two shadows that will mimic the caster’s actions for 2 minutes for half of the caster’s damage.

Druid

Restoration: Keepers of the Grove - The caster summons two ancient dryads from the Emerald Dream who prance around the area casting regenerative magic on injured players leaving healing petals on the ground that increase movement speed.

Balance: Elune’s Tear - Summons the powerful relic which casts a massive AOE moonfire on the target location for moderate damage and adds an AOE dot to all hit by the beam.

Feral: Devilsaur Form - Turn into a friggin T-rex for a limited time.

Death Knight

Unholy: Summon Lich - Summons a random named Lich that casts multiple devastating frost and shadow spells at nearby enemies. Immune to stuns and silences.

Mage

Frost: Hailstorm - A great winter fog surrounds the caster and nearby allies increasing their dodge chance as shards of ice pelt and slow nearby enemies for an extended duration.

Arcane: Manabomb - A lesser version of the explosion at Theramore localized in a much smaller area of effect.

Monk

Windwalker - Four Point Paw Exploding Brain Technique - Instantly kills any targeted enemy npc. Stuns bosses for four seconds and does massive damage. Also looks cool with new melee animations.

Demonology Warlock could get Summon Eredar Lord.

Retribtion Paladin: Divine Hurricane - Creates a large scale storm centered around the paladin that lasts for a duration, dealing high damage every tick to any target in the storm. The paladin can continue to move (with the storm moving with them) and use abilities freely during the duration. Damage ticks have a chance of granting one Holy Power.

Holy Paladin: Final Judgment - The paladin drops a giant, ethereal gavel on the battlefield and detonates, casting Lay on Hands on all allies initially. Remains for a short duration after, randomly blasting allies with Holy Shocks while prioritizing lower health players.

Protection Paladin: Tyr’s Hold - A giant silver fist bursts from the ground to encompass the paladin and then shatter, permanently encasing them in a layer of magical armour. Offers a tremendous amount of mitigation and the sheer radiance is a beacon, immediately taunting enemies within a large radius. As they take certain amounts of damage across several thresholds, the amount of damage mitigation drops a stage.

Fire Mage: Summon Phoenix - Summons a limited phoenix that focuses the target of the mage. Its criticals add to the mage’s Hot Streak, apply the Ignite mastery, and deal splash damage. When killed or its duration ends, leaves behind a dormant egg. Adds a prompt when picked up (by running over it) that allows you to consume the egg for a free, second Combustion.

Outlaw Rogue: Absolute Legend - Immediately grants every buff from Roll The Bones that lasts for a minute over the default 36 seconds. Additional attacks from Main Gauche or Sinister Strike apply Expose Armour (4% reduced armour), stacking up to 5 times. Additionally, Opportunity instead makes your next Pistol Shot a Musket Blast instead, dealing triple damage in a short cone in front of the rogue.

Ret Pally - Lightforged.

Mind control an enemy. They will mimic all of the paladins abilities and deal additional holy dmg/healing. Also turns them gold.

MM Hunter: Fight in the Shade

A mix of McCree’s DeadEye and “Gate of Babylon”, this attack locks onto every foe within 30 yards (if a single target engagement, it only targets that foe). The hunter pauses for a moment, summoning the skills of every great marksman, bowyer or gunman. They then release this pent up attack with a great flurry of arrows/bullets, striking every target in the area without fail.

Less than 5 targets take more damage per hit, with single targets getting wrecked (for bosses, this does a certain % of damage). Multiple targets still get hit for not as hard since the damage is more spread, but the glancing attacks come with a debuff, such as slowed movement speed, any number of DoTs, weakened armor, etc. for X amount of seconds.

Perfection. Though I feel like there should be a caveat in that the Priest dies after use.

Survival Hunter: Strike of Ohn’ahra

Channel the Great Eagle Spirit by leaping far into the air. The Hunter gets a Heroic Leap-sized reticule to decide where to land, with quite a large range. The Hunter comes crashing down with his weapon, doing massive damage to those in the centre of the blow, and doing less damage but knocking back those in the area around him.

Subtlety Rogue: I See You

Creates a huge area of Shadow in which the Subtlety Rogue moves at 300% speed, has increased attack speed, and all abilities cause her to teleport to her target. In PvP, this has a “darkness” effect on enemy players so that they can only see their own player model while in the Shadow field. Lasts 16 seconds.

Arms: Aggramar’s Strike

Leap forward in a fusion of charge and heroic leap, hitting any enemy in a line and a cone-shaped AOE. In a combo attack that would even make an outlaw rogue blush, the warrior throws their foes into the air in a devastating assault. The combo ends with a slam into the ground, greatly reducing physical defenses of all hit by the attack. Dash, slash, and crash your opposition into an early grave.

Fury: Rage of Sargeras

When activated, the warrior will gain increased movement speed toward any enemy. You gain stacking resistances per each enemy you are against in a specific radius, and get increased damage and haste once your target drops below 50% HP. If you drop below 50%, you earn lifesteal as well as an even higher boost to your haste and damage. Run 'em down, champ.

Protection: Shield of the Pantheon

Grow to titanic size and infuse your shield with the strength of the Titans, reflecting all spells cast against your team for a certain amount of time. You also deflect all attacks made against you in specific, and parry each of them for incredible damage. You are the Wall, ain’t nothing around that can make you fall.

Frost: Flight of the Frostbrood

Calling upon the Horn of Winter, you summon the Frostbrood from the Frozen North. For a limited time you may ride one of their champions, akin to the DK starting zone, whilst the lesser drakes attack your target. What you do upon that dragon will be nothing short of legendary, Deathlord.

Blood: Ichorous Earth

Throw your weapon into the ground to create an empowered death and decay, appearing as a pool of boiling blood. Enemies will be pulled into this pool by an enhanced Gorefiend’s Grip, and cannot leave the circle until it runs out. While in your grip, your foes take increased damage, heal you for all the damage they take, and cannot use any mobility to escape. You will make them fight for their lives, 'lest they wish for their blood to be drained.

Unholy: Archlich

Become one with the greater powers of undeath, and become a powerful Lich for a limited time. Your abilities change to match your greatly increased power, and you earn a passive shadowy barrier that reduces magic damage done to you. You have become everything a mage fears, and who can blame them? Look at you! You’ve made it!

Demonology: Arrogant Inferno

Throw a meteor from deep within the Twisting Nether from a portal, and from within it arises Jarraxus. Jarraxus serves for a short time, casting powerful spells and striking his foes with Infernals. You face the Netherlord, Newfound Lord of the Burning Legion (and Jarraxus)!

here they are have them
