If Blizzard wants to split High Elves between the factions, Void Elves need more work

A playerbase problem is still a problem, the snowball has been rolling for years at this point, and it doesn’t matter if the cause is player driven or not. Without intervention the Alliance will collapse, and I frankly don’t give a damn where you sit on the faction issue, one side losing the war spells the end of the game.

If the game wants to be faction based, both factions need a fighting chance. Right now racials and community have been so skewed for so long that every rational progression focused player is on one faction. The only reason to play Alliance in 2020 is fluff or nostalgia, which are huge motivating factors.

You do, actually. Go look at the math on sites like bloodmallet.

The problem is that the Alliance playerbase doesn’t understand how to use their superior racials.

I looked through the history and there was maybe about 15 posts or suggestions in 2019 (15 posts in a span of a 1 year isnt very talked about) from people about void elf racials whereas now there has been about 6+ posts in just the last two days.

Sims/=/practical cases. Sure, trolls sim middle, but does that mean Berzerking is bad? No, it means that trolls can focus more damage into a tight window than ANY other race.

It’s actually been rolling since Burning Crusade, but it didn’t become a popular thing to complain about until this expansion.

And the reason for that is that the overall population of BOTH factions has been decimated in Battle for Azeroth, because this expansion has been terrible.

You think things are all peaches & cream on the Horde side? My high-pop server had the top 2 guilds (both Top 50 US guilds running since vanilla) break up this expansion. Because BfA is garbage.

Things are tough all over.

Are you seriously claiming a 400 dps gain in some races is our huge advantage?

You wanna mention that Dark Irons are at the bottom of every chart in bloodmallet too?

this is so wrong it hurts. TBC was broken, wrath added Every Man, which evened it out, and the factions were even until Legion came out, which nerfed Every Man, and introduced M+, where Blood Elves were hilariously broken, and continue to be hilariously broken.

I’m saying that Alliance has better racials than Horde, as all the data shows.

Your data is garbage, because sims don’t represent progression or M+ scenarios at all.

Don’t crop out this part:

Horde has been ahead of Alliance in every expansion starting with Burning Crusade. That’s simply a fact, you can go look up the records if you feel like it.

Keep in mind that the forums swapped sites since the end of Legion and there’s a lot that won’t show up in history searches.

It was definitely weighted more towards the early end of when they first launched (just like all of the other ARs when they came in too, really), but there was absolutely talk about their racials going on prior to now.

My stance on it was the same then as it is now, to be clear. Rift is way more useful than people think it is, but it takes getting used to and you can’t think of it as a “Blink”, and Embrace is boring but functional.

And the transmog racial is the best one in the game and you can pry it from my cold dead fingers.

(In other words, we probably don’t really disagree much if at all on this, just trying to set the record straight that this is not a new conversation coming from nowhere, I was there for the old ones, lol)

yes i agree

void elves need 4K high def tentacles

Yes, ignore all the Alliance players in PvP, where Every Man was so prolific it had to be nerfed.

Overall population is purely irelevant. Tourist players come and go.

I’m talking about Cutting Edge raiding, because that’s the place where Horde outpaces Alliance.

I’m not talking about PvP because Alliance has the edge in Arena play. (Horde has the edge in rated BG’s.)

Do you actually even believe that? Am I really talking to somebody so delusional you think that Ali has a stronger PvP presence than Horde?

Like you’re actually just not living in real life if you think that. Specific arena teams and comps might go Ali, but the broader playerbase? Finding arena teams on Ali is pulling teeth.

U forget Dreanei healing

I never say anything without facts to back it up. See for yourself:

All I’ve done in this thread is state facts and data. If you have a problem with that, that’s on you.

Notice that by page 3, it’s red dominated. https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/game/pvp/leaderboards/3v3?page=3

You’re refering to statistical outliars. Your ‘facts and data’ are nothing but outliars, that’s not representitive of the common experience with the game at all. I said as much, specific arena teams will go Alliance. That doesn’t mean that Alliance is advantaged, or that the gameplay experience on Alliance is moderately close to acceptable as it is right now.

The broad arena meta is to play horde, because that’s where 90% of the good players are, and if you find a solid premade, and you think you have a shot at r1, and want to climb into the top 50, then you go Alliance. You don’t play Alliance starting at 1400, you play Horde, and then you go to Alliance at 2900 because that smidge of an edge Human provides matters enough for your team to drop a collective 75 dollars, and 90% of their respectable PvP contacts, just for competition.

Some do, and some of us actually have a predetermined set up that one person w/interrupt stay on 1 “bubbled lizard” and the other interrupt on the other…to which it works(obviously not pugging it) and the area is clear.

Not every Alliance player is a meathead.

That being said, it’s still an annoying pull b/c without that coordination, it’s a very long interaction before they die.
