If Blizzard offered both sharded and unsharded servers

I’ll tell you when you fix that run-on sentence.

I am keeping a count for you of all the players who have answered that question.

goose :egg: so far

I hate to break it to you but there were no death knights in vanilla, dawg.

Sorry, forgot what I was wearing.
Now how does a tauren priest figure into things?

Ok.

Group A consists of players that are concerned only with their own convenience, players that want to play a solo game in a multiplayer environment and players who see all those other players as nothing but obstacles in their way or random A-holes.

Tell us why those players who fall into group A cannot wait to start playing until that, in your words, “initial rush of no-lifers” has passed.

aww I like the Dk better :O(

The same reason why players who don’t want sharding can tolerate it for a week at launch.

You want Blizzard to cater to those players that they do not expect to hang around long term at the expense of those who have, for over a decade, requested a truer classic experience?

Why should those who dont want the non vanilla feature to wait a week, instead of having those who do not like the vanilla like rush wait a week?

Should being vanilla like not be a priority?

Someone who claims the glut of people that will be there at launch of vanilla represents a ‘truer classic experience’ didn’t actually play in vanilla.

The game was not anywhere near as popular as it was now at launch. There were dozens of servers (as opposed to probably the half dozen or so per region Classic will launch with). Please just stop.

I’ve played from the day the game was released, Nov. 23, 2004. I leveled multiple characters to 60 before TBC was released.

One thing I remember from vanilla is that I was NEVER sharded. Anytime I was online, I could EVERY other player online around me.

We get it. It sounds like you fall into the previously mentioned Group A. Is that because you are concerned only with your own convenience? Is that because you want to play a solo game in a multiplayer environment? Is that because you see all those other players in an MMO as nothing but obstacles in your way or random A-holes? Or is it some combination of those, possibly even all three?

Yeah, no. Quite a few of us did. You really have nothing of worth to add to the discussion.

Thank you,lol.

Sharding would be a game killer for me, it destroys local server community which is one of the main reasons classic was better.

If they don’t add sharding some ppl will get angry and will not play the first few days. Then start playing a few days later after the surge.

If they add sharding it could possibly shift classic where it loses millions of players. Then pservers open thier arms wide open.

If I was blizzard I would not add sharding at all.

While westfall will be busy for quite some time (as like Barrens it is a large leveling zone for the 10-20) people will start spreading out from level 5 onwards due to playtime and how areas even that low are segregated (echo isles vs razor hill, east and west Elwyn forest, darkshore and tedrassil).

Someone playing 2-3 hours a night will be looking for instance groups, ready to leave after, and any weekend warrior will be just entering the zone for the first time.

Heh, reminds me of the stereotypical dramaqueens who try to accuse others of causing drama.
