realistically speaking, blizzard would probably never do it, they are scared to death of ever touching anything wod again… i personally think they shouldn’t, i consider bfa a worse disaster (except for the nzoth patch because nzoth is great and the rest is not).
as to answer my own question, i would play it… because cosmetic FOMO is life baby
Considering I didn’t get a Remix this time and I basically got a Legion Classic+ Hard Mode, I’m now entirely disillusioned with Remixes.
I’ve said since the start that WoD classic is the only one I’d play. Gladiator Warrior is the most fun I’ve ever had in the two decades I’ve played WoW.
WoD Remix, sure. WoD Classic, no. I like the remixes because I like all the different cosmetics and it is kinda fun to be an overpowered god for a bit. The different classic modes hold zero interest in me, though. Most I have played em is the DK and Pandaran starting zones when they did those mount promos.
i played it… though i remember I wanted to try being a dps in a core raiding group as a gladiator stance warrior.
I remember feeling very disappointed that my damage was only beating the other 2 tanks.
Most people didn’t gear correctly for it. I didn’t raid much but topped the meter in most of Dire Maul.
Considering wod was the biggest dumpster fire in the entire history of all things that burn… no
Wod remix would be awesome. At least wod wasnt this buggy (there were bugs for sure, but not this bad)
Yeah, I liked WoD at the time. The raids were fun and I enjoyed seeing Draenor before it blew up. It helps that orcs and draenei are some of my favorite races in game. Would be awesome if they did it and actually added Farahlon as originally planned.
I actually liked WoD. Awesome music, cool concept, the zones and leveling were fun. It sucks that they scrapped it and garrison support costed us a raid tier and a whole new ogre zone and 2 faction capitals, though. If they added the cut content, it could be amazing, but I doubt they would.
I might.
It would depend on how they planned on replicating the Twitter patch in the content rollout. It was one of the most important patches in WoD and maybe even WoW as a whole, and I’m just not confident that this current team could properly replicate it.
I would not play either. I disliked WoD when it was live for a variety of reasons:
- Karabor was scrapped as the Alliance capital because they could not find something equally as cool for the Horde, so we all got wedged together in Ash’ran.
- Garrisons were a mini game within the game, and if you did not keep up, you missed out on lots of gold, gear, and legendary items. You were isolated on your own little island.
- Rares were not rare. I use Silver Dragon and it went off 10-12 times in a 250 foot flight in Tanaan Jungle. You could not toss an elf without hitting a “rare” mob. TBC and Wrath had actual rares.
- 6.1 and 6.2 were very underwhelming with Twitter and S.E.L.F.I.E. being the stars of the show
- There was no flying allowed at all until 6.2 when Blizzard finally caved and pushed the Pathfinder agenda on us
- Everything was Fel Green, and loaded with Orcs
- Most of the storylines were poorly executed including Yrel’s ascension
If they offered it, it would be the ONE Blizzard owned game in the whole launcher I would never buy or play. ![]()
yea only coz im waiting for Legion Classic now, we are so close…
I’ll play any mode they have for cosmetic rewards EXCEPT for Plunderstorm. I’m never playing that garbage again. The remixes are fun and OP level fests.
Idk who you are. Idk where you live. But always know, you have a friend out there who also loves gladiator stance.
Doing a (look where they are now) why was gladiator stance scrapped? Was it because the developers couldn’t make it work, the idea of a sword and shield warrior damage spec.
It wasnt a spec, it was a stance. It was a dead talent for prot players, and became too hard to balance because all it did was implement a damage mod to prot warrior abilities.
So prot warriors would have to deal with nerfs, etc, that came with balancing gladiator stance.
Because it wasn’t really a spec. It was hard to manage balancing Prot Warrior and Glad Warrior, without it being its own spec, so that may be why it was scrapped in Legion.
Whatever the third remix is is going to have a lot of content, just because it’s the third remix and Blizzard is always raking in the data for what drives player play time.
Wod or classic, there would at least be tons of mounts, pets, toys and recolored sets. That already means a lot of people who are collectors will engage. I believe that remixes also have faster leveling? I’m sure that there are still people out there with “only” 5-25 alts who could probably be talked into leveling a few more alts.
I am sure there are folks with 50+ alts who would still level more alts in a remix.
Oh and Blizzard could always throw a buncha housing assets into the next remix if they don’t with Legion Remix.
Ah, okay, well thank you for the information.
Wished I would have tried it out when it was available. Not even sure what I was playing in terms of characters when that was a thing. ![]()
