About gold boosting spam, I’m out. Game has more spam than a F2P Chinese cash grab. If I was a new player I would assume this game was garbage with no moderators. Do something or publicly admit it would hurt your tokens sale to do it. If that is what it has come down to I would like to know so I can leave.
I don’t give a crap if you’re boosting keep the ad spam in your stupid communities.

The only way the spam will stop is if people stop buying boosts and actually play the game for themselves. Don’t be mad at the people boosting and spamming, be mad at the people buying.
I don’t think gold boosting is going anywhere, it actually serves a large portion of the playerbase on both end of the spectrum.
But giving advertisers their own tab in the LFG tool should def be a thing.
Anyone that is against them handling spam is buying boosts.

They built a UI that was modifiable by addons, so we could change things to suit our personal preferences.

Keep it in a new tab for all I care. Bans for people who spam others. It’s not right. It’s like using a browser with pop ups enabled. Who wants that? No. They need to stick to their own communities of baby boosties and spam themselves. People who want a boost know how to find it.
You have all the tools you could need to choose what comments you see…but instead you ask Blizz censor communication allowed by the ToS

I have a confession. Every time I see someone make an ultimatum I want them to continue to be unhappy. Ultimatums are the weapons of the childish.
Why would they do something about it? They have said multiple times that buying boosts and carries is legitimate game play as far as they are concerned. Whether you like it or not… It is here to stay.
Just download that spam addon. You’ll never see it again.
Yeah not a fan of the spam either. It sucks like it did with Chinese gold spam bots in BC/LK.

Spend your gold how you want but keep the spam in communities or a personal boosting tab. Blizzard should filter these out of Trade,LFG, and Mail.
The spam is annoying, but pretty much unless they are advertising RMT they aren’t doing anything wrong.
Like Rahnek mentioned, it servers the playerbase even if you don’t think it’s ideal.
And if WoW token purchases are involved, it serves Blizzard too. Do you really think they are champing at the bit to lose out on easy money?
You can leave the chat channel, report spam, ignore people, if that’s what you want to do. Regardless of anyones issues, or the state of the game, I never encourage people to just quit, but since that’s what you are threatening in your OP, maybe that’s what you oughtta do.

Just install BadBoy and block: wts, sell, sale, guild, run, gold, quick, boost
You’ll miss some legitimate messages but it cleans up 90% of trade. Re: groupfinder you’re kind of just screwed and have to report as ad and move on.
