If they block chat messages they disrupt. I can report, they can be squelched, if a GM finds it as a good use they will likely send me a pre filled email as to why they unsquelched the person and life goes on. Otherwise they leave them muted till their punishment is over. The world moves on.

I am not implementing my wrath on some one. I am using an in game tool for what it was intended to do.
Report to take care of a spammer.
Leave general chat works too. The anti-social have ways to limit their exposure.

You know what I think disrupts my gameplay? You taking my mob tags. I’m going to report you for doing this and it’s okay under your logic.

btw the right click report only ignores them temporarily.
Im glad you’re once again expressing your faith and believes on a definition. But your faith and belief does not mean a thing when I am factually doing what the button was intended for. To bring a situation, if needed, to the attentions of the GM
Again, right click ignores them and brings it to the attention of a game master, so thats doing what it is supposed to do. I am not being vengeful.

That is where we disagree. That is the disconnect. I do not agree that your interpretation is accurate, much less anywhere near a fact. I think you seem well intentioned and are prolly a nice person, but you are fairly ignorant about some key points that indicates a misunderstanding of the ToS and how to use the tool properly.

This guy is disrupting my gameplay right now…
I look at the literal definitions of the words presented. I do not read it at try to interpret more nor do I ask for clarification. I do know that in the past people that spam have been curtailed in chat being as the definitions of the report function actually included the terminology and description. I also see the examples in this thread of what people have used as a defense against it. Now, I also read that thread about the person getting muted and having their name taken. I also read further in to it where it explained that the situation was actually salvaged
The reason you’re meeting resistance is not because you don’t appear to have a sense of humor or that you’re even a bad person, it’s because you’re aligning yourself with a system that would allow the punishment of other players preemptively… because YOU don’t like something. Hardly seems fair to those who would not wish the same upon you if the situation were reversed.
