Yeah, that’s why I included regular balancing. I’d never expect it to be standalone. Just used it as an example that I think more people would stay logged in longer actually playing if they didn’t include this barrier of other stuff around it, and tuned it regularly.

idk i like getting loot from both pvp and pve. to merphys point, if it was a standalone game barely anyone would play it. p sure thats why they got rid of the tourney realms back in the day, but i could be wrong.
there should be a much lesser effect of where the gear is from if theres not going to be pvp specific stat gear, simple as that
While that’s true, you could also attract more players that don’t want to deal with the grind an mmo has.
big missing the point
“leveling is fine but gearing in raids and keystones to pvp isn’t” no. degree in wrongology. doing non-pvp stuff to get to participate in pvp, full stop. leveling, gearing. get over it lol
Some of the most fun I’ve had have been on tournament realms or PTR’s where you can do exactly this
That’s not even what I said. You can PvE to PvP, but that shouldn’t be the best option, or the only one for that matter. And that’s exactly how this entire expansion has been.
nah man, I love the world of warcraft too much
bummer, cuz it is and the requisite pve is not difficult
it isn’t, the top 100 had a few people without unique-effect pve gear. it’s harder, sure, but it was and is doable
Top 100 also get 2400+ rated gear weekly. People that don’t PvE or aren’t high rated fall behind.
It’s not a matter of difficulty, it’s the fact that it’s not appealing to me, nor to a lot of people. Past expansions I could solely PvP and be fine. Are you not grasping that, or just blatantly ignoring it?
i am disagreeing with you that your opinion on it matters. there are people who don’t play wow even though they like how the pvp looks because leveling, and then leveling alts to play more diverse comps, is annoying. that’s just the cost of doing business in this game. you are wrong to think you saying waaah i don’t wanna pve matters. stop wanting that, dork. pve is leveling 2, and you can do the one to be able to pvp if you can do the other
I’ve never said I don’t want PvE to not matter, I even said it’s fine that you can PvE to PvP, just that it shouldn’t be a superior option. I also said leveling doesn’t bother me.
You’re really not making any sense.
you’re lying in saying that though
What’s your evidence, that I don’t like doing dungeons or raiding? You hit a level cap once every 2 years and then you’re set. Gearing every new season doesn’t even compare to 10 levels.
yes, it does. you are factually wrong to draw this arbitrary line between prep work to be pvp-ready that’s okay and prep work to be pvp-ready that’s too far. 1=1.
the only complaint that seems valid to me about gearing through pve for pvp is that the gear itself has effects which make pvp itself less fun. if there were no unique effects on cos/ep gear, and it was just normal stats and traits, this complaint would have no right to exist.
If you can’t tell the difference between leveling to cap every expansion compared to having to gear through PvE every season, then there’s no point in debating this.
it’s one of degree, and pointedly not one of kind
lol
Listen kid, I’m too drunk rn to understand what that even means.
this is what smart people say when they use the word debate unironically online and then decide they won what they decided is a debate
