My point:
WotF is really good against very specific classes, and useless against others.
Escape artist is not as powerful due to fear being a hard CC, but is more generally useful against a wider number of classes and abilities.
Your point is wrong. WOTF is good against almost half of the classes, two of which have to burn their only defensive CD. Escape artist is good for about 1 second before the snare gets reapplied, which is why you see almost zero melee based gnomes. Caster gnomes are for the int boost, not EA.
EA vs mages - Freeze/ slow gets instantly reapplied
EA vs warriors - hamstring has no CD, instantly reapplied
EA vs druids - Gets you out of one roots, can be instantly reapplied and puts roots on DR, but you’re going to get cycloned anyway.

It’s more fun to play the game when there is faction balance and horde are not barraging the forums crying about queue times. But few people are interested in actual and sensible solutions.

zero melee gnomes? there’s 11 warriors in top 25 US and top 25 EU 2s right now, 8 of which are gnomes lol. EA is literally the bis racial for warriors in arena

Source? All the research i’ve done (and data that’s been posted) show zero gnome warriors/melee in the top arena teams. Its all horde, except for save a few alliance with human rogues in it.
a big problem is a lot of people rolled alliance specifically because they wanted to AFK in bgs they knew they had instant queues AND that horde report afkers more since we’ve got a large faction size compared to afkers (we still have them obviously)
ironforge.pro’s pvp hub has arena leaderboards with race/class breakdowns. drustvar has good stats for overall arena demographics, but not top x type stuff.

This is 100% false. Horde use this as a reason why they’re the superior PvP faction when in reality its because you have broken racials and premade nonstop.
Yeah ironforge shows very few alliance in top brackets, again the few alliance that are in the top are human rogues and human warlocks/NELF druids. If you’re going to post a source then at least check it first.

You can tell you don’t pvp because most of the time alliance get rolled on the first fight because either the game started without a full team for alliance to try and create matches since the system attempts to force more matches as queues get longer.
Every alliance player I know is far more annoyed by afkers and unfair starting team sizes compared to racials in BGs, imagine if you started a 5v5 arena and you only had 4 players because of bad code you’d be pissed.
Arenas are gladiator matches, which often put friends/allies against each other.
I have 70k Hk’s and before friday, did at least 5 BG’s a day. Afkers are VERY rare and get reported and kicked immediately. Alliance spend most of the time trying to recover after we get wiped at flag in EoTs or lose BS in AB because of broken racials.
You don’t know any alliance PvPers and if you do, they probably only do AV where literally both factions half afk through most of it.

I felt most leeway with gnome racial as every class has a root of some sort. Not every class has a fear.
Not going to be mad when they nerf wotf in wrath. Then again, maybe I’ll make a forum post complaining about people melding CC and how OP it is in wrath.
the top US ally 2s team is NE druid and gnome warrior. there’s a single human lock in the top 25 in 2s. 11/25 top US 2s teams are alliance.
3s is skewed horde because rmp is so strong and ud rogue is objectively better in any rmp mirror not decided by the opener. 6/25 top 25 US 3s are ally, 7/25 for EU.

Not saying EA is bis, it’s just heavily comparable to WOTF. And yes, probably going human in wotlk. Classic wotlk is going to implode with EMFH.
