I’m pretty sure the entire reason they start at 10 is because they didn’t want to create noob zones for, what, 8 races in one expansion? I suppose they could conceivably get around to it someday but I’m not so sure they will. I occasionally create new worgen just for their noob zone, so I like it in theory anyway. Hard to say no to 10 free levels though.
you are a normal human and decide to do shows eating large quantiles of food… you gain faster levels if your name is nick. You also wear a gnome machine to help you sleep for drama views.
The mechagnome one sounds fun. Your cute gnome strapped down to a table where a sketchy “surgeon” with a mustache whips out an assortment of rusty sawblades and turns on the song Hip to Be Square to drown out the noise of what comes next.
I’m pretty sure one of the reasons Allied Races start at a higher level was specifically because
Creating start-zone experiences for the “rapidly produced” races would interfere with the “rapidly produced” part of that plan (ie, reusing skeletons and not implementing custom leveling zones are the reason we got 10 of them instead of like 4)
Players spent years complaining about being forced into 1-3 hour questing zones as Goblins/Worgen/Pandaren
The unique start-zone experiences are already some of the most neglected parts of the game. Gilneas frequently has issues with a critical scene breaking if anyone attacks Sylvanas, Gallywix occasionally becomes unbeatable without an army or without cheesing the fight by getting knocked on top of a building, even Exile’s Reach has a problem if you relog/disconnect on the initial boat ride, and these issues go for months without being addressed
