If Allied Races Start at Level 1

Nightborne - 1. start as a Nightfallen, gain access to the Arcan’dor by earning the favor of the First Arcanist 2. start as a Felborne, work hard to purge fel corruption to the body and that of Suramar

Highmountain - 1. Start as a regular Tauren, earn the horns of eche’ro 2. Start as a feltotem, purge fel corruption to the body and that of Highmountain

Lightforged - start as a regular Draenei, undergo the process of Lightforging

Void Elf - start as a Blood Elf, find a way to escape Silvermoon and reach the fabled Telogrus rift

Mechagnome - start as a regular gnome, undergo a series of surgeries to upgrade body parts to mechanical form

Kul’Tiran - a version of Exiles’ reach, sail across the seas as a Kul’Tiran

Zandalari - unite the various Trolls tribes and justify the new troll customizations

Mag’har - deal with the Saberon and Botani who escaped to the wilderness of Central Kalimdor

no idea for DIDs and Vulpera

Why?

What would be the point?

When Blizzard gets around to this, all the allied races will likely start in the new generic (bland) starting zone.

Vulpera - Play with your littermates and do wholesome family type things as vulpera are wont to do.

I’m okay starting at level 10 without convoluted storyline being added.

I’m pretty sure the entire reason they start at 10 is because they didn’t want to create noob zones for, what, 8 races in one expansion? I suppose they could conceivably get around to it someday but I’m not so sure they will. I occasionally create new worgen just for their noob zone, so I like it in theory anyway. Hard to say no to 10 free levels though.

you are a normal human and decide to do shows eating large quantiles of food… you gain faster levels if your name is nick. You also wear a gnome machine to help you sleep for drama views.

The mechagnome one sounds fun. Your cute gnome strapped down to a table where a sketchy “surgeon” with a mustache whips out an assortment of rusty sawblades and turns on the song Hip to Be Square to drown out the noise of what comes next. :scream:

They would just be put through the same starting zone as everyone else /thread.

Maybe make it an optional thing?

After unlocking them, I appreciate them starting at level 10.

I could take it or leave it. They could always give it a grace period like DKs or DHs.

I’m pretty sure one of the reasons Allied Races start at a higher level was specifically because

  1. Creating start-zone experiences for the “rapidly produced” races would interfere with the “rapidly produced” part of that plan (ie, reusing skeletons and not implementing custom leveling zones are the reason we got 10 of them instead of like 4)
  2. Players spent years complaining about being forced into 1-3 hour questing zones as Goblins/Worgen/Pandaren
  3. The unique start-zone experiences are already some of the most neglected parts of the game. Gilneas frequently has issues with a critical scene breaking if anyone attacks Sylvanas, Gallywix occasionally becomes unbeatable without an army or without cheesing the fight by getting knocked on top of a building, even Exile’s Reach has a problem if you relog/disconnect on the initial boat ride, and these issues go for months without being addressed

This is honestly the only one that interests me honestly. Rest are very meh at best

Defending themselves from various transmog hunters.

Helping more of the horde and showing them how magic friendship is…

…By burning humans out of Westfall. :upside_down_face:

This would be so cool!

Do we gain massive varicose veins, too?!?!
