If Alliance get Mechagnomes, what does Horde get?

Scrap metal for the goblins?

I speak for all alliance players when I say this. We do not want another Gnome playable race. Enough already. Try being original, blizzard. Maybe create a new skeleton or something else that requires actual skill.

A new warchief!

Pretty much the same could be said about Gil Goblins through. In fact other then looking more like goblins and being exceedingly greedy, Gil Goblins are less like regular Goblins than Vulpera are.

Gil Goblins are primitive, dumb as a brick and their greed amounts to hordeing shiny things like crows do. They really aren’t any more advanced than Kobolds. They just don’t fit the requirements of an allied race.

During an earlier part of the war campaign Hobart Grapplehammer made a statement that he is working on a formula to produce super intelligence Gilblins. This happens right after you do that quest which sends you into deep water.

And by comparison they have worlds more in common with Vulpera. Things like as follow:

  1. They look a lot closer to goblins. Even if you shave Vulpera, there are some clear differences between how they look and goblins.
  2. There is the fact that they were created by Hobart Grapplehammer.
  3. They have the money hungry aspect.
  4. They talk in many similar ways.

The comparison between Goblins and Vulpera is like comparing Humans to Furblogs. They have a similar size, but they are really very different in all other measures.

It will be interesting to see Hobart Grapplehammer’s interactions with Gilblins when Nazjatar comes out. Seeing as he is the one who created these guys.

High elves. They can just give blood elves a blue eye option, that would be fine as well

Snek people.

High Elves cause reasons.

So an offhand comment from an NPC about a possibility of a formula that might make them smarter means more than than already intelligent race we have been working with and allied with for the entire xpac?

This doesn’t have any bearing on anything. No where have they said every allied race has to look just like a race we already have. In fact, Kul’tiran proves this false because they look nothing like regular humans.

So? What does this have to do with anything? There is no indication Hobart has any control over them or that they even know he created them, let alone if that would have any effect on if they would join the Horde or not. It’s just as possible that they hate him and that makes them not want to be part of the Horde.

Again, no where does anyone at Bliz say that allied races have to be anything at all like existing player races. This idea that a race must be exactly like an existing race is your own rule you made up in your head.

And Vulpera and Goblins have a hell of a lot more in common than humans and Furbolgs. That comparison is completely ridiculous.

It is just speculation. Possible forshadowing. I am not looking at this as hard evidence. Just a small tidbit that could be a minor indication towards it.

Every allied race that has come out so far has been at the very least the same racial type of the race it has been released with. Even void elves are still elves. Vulpera aren’t goblins. Along with this all allied races have had an intrinsic similarity to an existing playable races. Often in more ways than one. And considering that the lore direction things are going this expansion, it is improbable to assume, they would suddenly make an exception with Gilblins. If Gilblins and Junker Gnomes were released, they would each be unique racial themes that we haven’t had before.

This actually is a good point. I concede to this one.

No, but so far there is a noticeable pattern with allied races:

  1. Every allied race is always the same racial type.
  2. They always have some kind of intrinsic similarity to an existing race. Not necessarily their paired race. In the case of void elves their intrinsic similarity lies with Blood elves. Kul’tirans also don’t have a unique rig. It had been seen on some models before they came out. I can go on and on about this.

More Gnomes to kill and punt what more could you ask for.

You might take this hard, but there’s a pretty good chance we aren’t getting anything, as far as allied races go.

Thats always possible. It could be something we haven’t even seen yet. None of us, but blizzard truly knows and maybe they aren’t even certain yet.

so we have the opportunity to get an aquatic race… yet you want goblins with gills?.. seriously. playable naga are way better then fish-goblins.

Gilgoblins for the Horde.

Naga haven’t exactly been our friends. In fact they are one of the key enemies of the expansion. It is more so that I am just pointing out the strong likeliness of race. Along with the difficulty it would take to impliment them. Besides. You aren’t giving them enough credit. They have beautiful tattoos, glowing blue eyes+teeth. Just imagine if they can be druids too. Their sea forms would be pretty cool.

are you going to tell me you’d rather have another type of goblin over this?..

I’m not sure we even get them as Alliance, if we do it’s after BFA. From the look of things both the Horde and Alliance help them in the new zone.

Actually yes. Not only that ,but I think Gilgoblins look much better than those do. You underestimate just how much of a goblin nerd I am. Give the Gilblin some neat sea forms and lore. You got a potentially nice AR.
