If a mama worgen and a daddy worgen

…have a baby, is it also a worgen? Or is it just… human?

Also, will the mother be more susceptible to having a litter of children?

I’m asking the hard questions today.

according to blizzard the worgen curse is not hereditary so the child would not be a worgen

while i’m disappointed, thank you for answering that quickly!

The “curse” is a magical gift from Goldrinn. You have to take specific actions for him to give his gift to you. Drinking Worgen blood or being bitten by one will do it.

Even though blood is transferred to babies from the mother, Goldrinn doesn’t accept that as “asking for it”.

I don’t think any gilnean asked to be a worgen.

That guy knows, its in his name.

well I guess im wrong then.

I could see the child becoming a Worgen as a coming of age ritual.

sort of like the companions in skyrim? you can either become one of the circle or… not? that’d be cool…

They have to love each other very much and do a special kiss.

lord crowley did turn others into worgen with his blood, so its possible to infect others without a feral

You can get it by drinking blood from Mr Crowley, but somehow being bombarded with blood by a placenta isn’t enough to turn you into a worgen.

This is one of those things you’re not supposed to think too much about.

Come on Skippid. Going out dressed like that? They were clearly asking for it.

What Withpuppys said. It’s not hereditary.
Either it comes as a curse via a bite from a feral worgen, or as a “gift” of blood.

But if they did have worgen babies, they’d look like this.

I believe it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers who said, “What I got you got to get it, put it in you.”

My working theory is that the reason the children of worgen don’t inheret the curse is because the curse has its foundations as a Druid form.

Total spitballing on my part, but I think there might be some safeguard for pregancy in druid forms, so if a druidic woman was attacked while she was pregnant, she could turn into a bear without it affecting or altering the baby inside.

So, that’s my guess. Protective druidic magic stops the curse from infecting the unborn child.

This also means that if two night elf druids did it in bearform, the resulting child would be a night elf, not a bear. Though. admittingly, introducing a bear that was the offspring of two horny Druids of the Claw would be an amusing story.

Though it makes you wonder…the worgen curse is passed on via blood or bite. Bite= saliva probably, not the teeth themselves. So this month’s public safety message is, ladies and gentlemen, unless you want to become a werewolf, don’t go kissing any worgen.

The night elf ritual in the gilnean starting zone made it so that Alliance worgen can’t transfer the curse at all.
