So I found it interesting that the talent tree for SP has been more interesting spec-wise. I loved the flavor, but now that they essentially made it impossible to lean into a ton of shadowy figures floating, I feel disappointed and uninspired to play. 50 was hard to make happen especially when you don’t have many targets. Now we apparently need 200 shadows then Yogg appears lmao What a joke.
It’s messed up indeed. They give us some substance then gatekeep, punish, and minimize our classes from feeling awesome and powerful. It’s turning into a very simpleton boring game.
So the way it worked when it was 50 is that it was 50 unique apparitions. So whether you were fighting 1 thing or 100 things, when you press mind blast that still only counted as 1. I’m curious if maybe it’s 200, but each apparition counts? Would make it worse single target, but a lot better for aoe. This would also be more in line with how the big penance works with atonement stacks.
perhaps but as it works right now the thing does st dmg which makes it very anti synergistic with itself if it is best used in aoe situations. Also from experimentation the thing did about 22k with fresh 70 gear on beta and took 8 mins in st to summon about 4-6 in multi target to summon. Yeah it has issues…
Not really seeing an issue with it at this time. I’ll have a real opinion about it once they do a tuning pass.
Also don’t ever take it in a 5 man It’ll only proc when a pack dies.

Even an infinite stars like talent would’ve been better for yogg or cthun, imo.
Idol of Yogg is so badly designed that the more damage it deals, the worse it becomes to play with.
Its back down to 100 shadows, but its still a joke and should never be taken IMHO… It may SIM out good, but what will happen so often is that it will proc once most or everything is just about dead.
It also resets in any sort of boss encounter. It’s doing 3% of my overall in dungeons alongside nzoth because stuff just dies before the stacks explode.

I just hope it ends up being bad. I don’t want a pet class, I want a shadow leech offhealing class.
