This and the fact that the guilds running Warrior DPS aren’t generally hardcore. This is us filthy casuals trying to have a bit of fun to see if we can find some way to hit the bottom middle of the dps rather than flat bottom in our raids.

I don’t even get full mana before we pull.
When doing an hour clear this is what it takes.
No hardcore guild is doing 60 sec pull timers so you can get your armor pot up rofl.

It’s such a niche thing that the fact Blizzard focused attention on it at all is mind boggling. It affects a handful of dad guilds running warriors who are just trying to mix things up a bit and have a little fun with pot mechanics.
To me, I don’t really care - it’s not like it actually adds much but it’s just this razor focus Blizzard seem to have on anything that could possibly improve Warrior DPS even by a tiny amount when other far more egregious things for other much stronger classes go unnoticed.

I mean, guilds wait on Fire Ele already, since it doesn’t reset when boss encounters finish.
Maybe they can adjust that if waiting around is a concern to others.
i think having a 2 minute effect from a 1 minute CD pot was kinda dumb in the first place.
I get your point but I also think you need to consider how invasive something is for it to be considered degenerate. This hardly seems on the same level as the meta gem munching/TBC feral druid potion popping shift meta madness/required leveling of engineering and use of battle chicken…
This is a good change. The alternative would have been reducing the duration of armor potions to 1min which would be way worse imo.
I’m so glad cat energy got changed so that the trollsblood meta could die.
Yeah, I used to main feral but I’m glad they don’t have to do stupid stuff like that to be competitive. I know there’s some out there doing bear weaving and flower shifting…but they can compete by just performing the rotation correctly.

I believe the overlappability of it was intended. The idea being that tanks could overlap a defensive pot with an offensive pot for burst threat.
I don’t think it was intended to allow overlapping dps buffs though. However, this effects a sum total of one class due to the AttT talent. And this being the weakest dps class in the game at the moment.
So, this change is a minor nerf to Tanks in order to stop the mechanic being abused by … the bottom dps class.
Or one dev being emo about having to wait 60 seconds instead of the previously mentioned speed run times. Because changes due to a Blizz employee getting ticked off at something have never happened before… /eyeroll

This kinda of thing makes me seriously question the “community council”. I 100% agree that this type of gameplay is unnecessary, but why does there need to be a special pot rule for just armor pots? Simply put Don’t fix what aint broke.

What did you expect from unqualified people.

I’m sure spawning a dig rat before a boss so you can restack vengeance before the pull is degenerate aswell.
Does this really achieve anything? it promotes increased “degen” timers because they just eat the pot and logout for 2 minutes then log back in, i did a 4 hour naxx last night doing speed kills and it took us beyond 2 minutes to set up for a pull anyway because we have to reset our fire eles, infernals, army etc everytime. anyhow. I don’t really see the point of nerfing degenerate stuff that you choose to do.

Nah, we already got our Dedicated Few as well. Full clear with 20/25. We 3 heal most fights (disc+hpala+rdudu). Even managed to 2 heal Instructor, the one where priest has to mind control, as rdudu+hpala on 25.
