I’m aware that someone made a suboptimal 1 button macro for the rotation that ret paladin follows. That doesn’t mean that every ret paladin uses this suboptimal 1 button macro while they play this game. I don’t.
Just because you could make a macro to simplify your classes rotation doesn’t mean that you should make a macro to simplify your class rotation.
There is going to be varying degrees of difficulty involved with rotations amongst different classes, that is just how it goes. Nobody would be happy if every class played the same. Fundamentally a class with a resource like rage should function differently from a class with mana as they are entirely different resources. The way they are generated is different, the percentage of your resources required to cast spells is different, the percentage you start the fight with is different.
I get that fury has a harder rotation to follow than ret paladin. Hopefully you enjoy playing fury, and aren’t bothered because your class has a more difficult rotation than a different class. Ultimately from posts I’ve read it sounds like the spell queue problem with some warrior spells causes a problem for warriors that ret doesn’t have to deal with at all.
Hopefully that gets fixed.
Just ignore paladins’ opinions on the topic completely. They whinged to get a buff and now they’ve screwed up WoTLK classic given balancing is now what the classic team is resorting to for everyone.
They’re a non-entity as far as I’m concerned. A brain-dead class that was heavily overtuned even before they got buffed.
