Idea: Unspent Profession knowledge after capping

I would love to see a new bucket where we can put our excess points that is just increases skill. Even if it took 10 knowledge points to make 1 skill point, I don’t care… just give us a bucket where we can move toward making the skill high enough to be less of a pain in the buttocks.

Eventually making R3 epic games, or other crafts that we must do silliness currently to get to max rank not require said silliness.

I think the silliness behind certain Rank 3s is part of the point, i.e. gating them behind mettle / elemental shatters / etc. is by design.

I just wish it would stop bugging me that I have points to spend when I can’t spend them on anything.

On the gear it makes sense since it can be recrafted, but for gems they should just let them naturally be rank 3 or make them BOE like they did with the potions

This. Its god awful bad game design and super annoying to be capped and then the game is like “SPEND YOUR POINTS! HERES A REMINDER!”… except I cant spend them because I’m capped.

They need to prevent learning of more knowledge once capped or add a way to dump points once you hit the cap. I can understand this being a 1% player base problem right now, but eventually it will be a problem for many, many others.

It ticks me off so much that rank 3 primal diamonds require an insight to guarantee. ANYTHING that’s consumable should not require an insight. Max skill? Sure. I should be able to get a r3 diamond by fully filling out gemcutting + general JC skill.

I think it’s fine for some consumables to not be 100% without an insight, it can create interesting balances between inspiration, resourcefulness and multicraft, but BOP like gems or the ultimate pots pre-10.1 just shouldn’t be

I much more prefer them BoP. If they weren’t, then the market just get flooded with gems from people leveling their skills (like many other consumables) making insights nearly worthless. As it stands, an insight has always been an easy 2-3k for me (although I often cringe at spending 50 mettle for a mere 2k+). And most anyone with any common sense puts it in a crafted ring or neck anyways… so it is the least consumable of the consumerables.

And not like many other consumables, that are often cheaper to buy then to make now.

But on the topic, would just love the annoying message telling me I had points to go away. It was annoying before when I “could” spend the points.
