Idea For Titles

I think a better system for rewarding titles would be if titles were based on percentile of each spec, rather than overall rank on the ladder.

For example, if marksmanship is an awful spec in arenas or just clearly not as good as survival, it wouldn’t matter because the MM can still earn rank 1 since they’re only competing with other MM hunters for the title.

This will also help reduce people playing only the dominant specs (destro for example) because people would be encouraged to play other specs since rank 1 titles are open to any spec. There would be much more variety in arenas this way.

The percentage cutoffs might have to be different for healers since there are far less healing specs than dps specs.

For tank specs…probably better for everyone if we just disabled the option to que as a tank.

What do you guys think?

Liked for this alone.

I second that.

would be interesting, but it’d be impossible to track who plays what spec consistently. All of sinister season arena mate tracked me as ret paladin instead of holy.

I mean Blizzard wouldn’t use a 3rd party website to calculate titles lol

Could just make it so you qualify for the spec that you had the most wins with, shouldn’t be difficult

your right it shouldnt be but im sure it is, id rather them fix their game in terms of ability restoration and balancing before fixing titles.

Well that’s the thing, if they did this change then balancing wouldn’t matter nearly as much because titles would be awarded for being skilled at the spec you play, not playing the best spec.

But I still believe classes should be tuned regularly, and shadowlands looks like a good direction as far as ability restoration. I’ll be getting baseline cyclone back.

This would lock rating to a specific spec. I. Theory this sounds good, but if destro was nerfed tomorrow and Aff buffed ny team wouldnt wanna queue with a 0cr aff lock. Get my gist?

Pve gear takes the skill out of arena, you can’t argue me otherwise lmao. Sure you could be the “best at your class” but is it just because you’re more pve geared than feral #2?

Bfa doesnt require skill, just a high IO score.

That’s actually a good point

I never said I supported PvE gear. I’d like to see blizzard bring back PvP vendors and put resilience or PvP power on the gear to invalidate pve gear.

…ya ok bud.

You’re a prime example on how pve gear carries, :stuck_out_tongue:

interesting suggestions but this would deflate the titles so much that they would get useless as there are basically no enough players on each specc left to make it matter.

Queueing the same comp on my alt thats 430 equipped and weve been dominating the bracket with an under 300k hp rsham.

Gwar plays a part, but i think even at my alts ilvl we could hit 2400 on it, which isnt terrible. Most players at this rating outgear us already.

Yeah because certain specs are way better than others atm, but with this change you’ll see all specs popping up in arenas even with certain specs outperforming the rest.

Not really. You would just further alienate players. As a Destro lock, which is currently a very good spec, I would have the same lack of desire to queue with an arcane mage or enhancement shaman. There’s nothing in it for me.

Well right now all the weak specs are being alienated and not everyone wants to reroll to something fotm. A lot of people want to play the spec they enjoy the most but I get what you’re saying.

You could still que any comp you want nobody’s gonna stop you

You still can queue any comp you want. This doesnt change the fact nobody qants to queue dumpster comps.

Blizz just needs to balance bad specs better. There is no reason mm, aff etc have been this way over a year.
