What if when specc’d into Oracle we got the ability to cycle Premonition buffs manually?
That way if there is a fight that requires extra dispels we can have that prepared as needed. They can balance it to require each buff be used before you can cycle back through.
The ability itself seems cool but I get the feeling the general complaint has been a feeling of lacking control over it.
Anyway, thoughts?
TL;DR Premonition should allow us to pick which buff we want. Choose the spells we use and in what order.

I’m not thrilled with either hero tree. The premonitions of course don’t line up well with the disc playstyle at all, and for holy it adds onto the annoying amount of whack a mole procs and CDS they’ve added to the spec.
Even Archon bothers me. Sure it’s low maintenance but even here they could’ve just baked that functionality into Apotheosis instead of Halo, maybe even eliminate Halo as a separate talent and just have it automatically cast during Apotheosis, e.g., freeing the player to have more time and CDs during that window, and lower Apotheosis’ CD (with whatever adjustments to balance).
Most of the same practical effect as what they did but more thematic and less bloated. And they could’ve divided the extra power they gave to Halo into the gains from more frequent Apotheosis.
(And while they’re at it they could’ve given Apotheosis the Voidweaver treatment and given it some cool visuals - this would be a lot more exciting than what they did).
But what we got is low effort. We got excuses to just add more throughput without adding more fun to the gameplay.
I feel like several people have voiced wanting premonition to work like fae guardians, even from the very beginning. It just hasn’t worked out that way.

AutomaticJak had a stream today where he spoke very positively about premonition on Holy spec. It might end up being one of those buffs that feels too complex off the rip then is a lot of fun once people get comfy with it.
If I recall correctly wouldn’t that be like having Chakras back, just in the form of special perks during those chakras and not changing a spell like it did in the past. I feel like it was similar a “stance dancing” playstyle which would be a fun mechanic to manage again.
For example: You cast premonition then the next Spell dictates which buff or “chakra” you enter. With holy it would be easy to make it whichever Holy Word spell you cast after dictates the buff, I cant think of anything for Disc at the moment.
What I would really have liked is to have some interaction where you summon an Archangel to Spread Prayer of Mending (Holy) or Holy Word: Shields (discipline) around the group/raid. Maybe that would be like casting Guardian Spirit/Pain Suppression after casting Premonition?

That’s a fantastic call back. Yes. Chakras are very much analogous to this new move. It feels like a bit of an evolution of what chakras used to be.
I just think players prefer control. But once we get our hands on premonition I’m sure we won’t have much trouble adapting
