Idea for better holy paladins

What if concecrate was an AOE heal aswell as damage?

No, this is not retail where every healer has all the same tools.

You also buff prot paladins by proxy—they DEFINITELY don’t need a buff lol.

Neat idea, but would be a dramatic rebalancing of PvE. Paladins are supposed to struggle in AoE situations which is why you have such amazing single target healing. On the flip side, you can make good use of Flash of Light with good tab targeting of your party to handle AoE, but it is the very definition of triage and you have to keep your priorities lined up (Tank before some random DPS for example).

A good rule of thumb is to just have zero wasted GCDs as your heals are super quick and super efficient. Just keep pouring out the love and never stop.

Good luck!

My Smite-Heal Priest has Holy Nova, which is basically that, but it is an expensive cast even with the 10% mana reduction talent from Discipline, & it is highly situational at best since most of the time either the aoe heal or aoe damage component is somewhat wasted. Fun to use in big packs though even if it drains your mana bar to nothing while spamming it for any prolonged period.

Repentance with 2 seconds cast should have been a baseline paladin spell. Ret should have been given a kick/pummel as their 31 talent. That would take paladin out of the gutter in arena without upsetting pve.

All I want for Holy Paladin is WotLK Aura Mastery, baseline 40 yards auras and for holy shock to heal more than a Druid’s rejuv tick.

But the #nochanges crowd would rather keep the 25% of PvP population being undead and 95% of teams in the top 10% being rogues.

id be happy if my bubble couldnt be md’d

My smite priest can maintain holy nova / surge spam pretty much forever. In heroics ill out dmg most dps classes. Still gotta drink occasionally, but having 1500 spirit during tap REALLY pumps that mana bar up.

All you do is name him “Athene”…
