Idea: Dual Class

You can have two Classes in the same character.

You can’t use them at once. You have to go to a place to swap.

Armor proficiencies remain the same. If you swap from a Plate Class to a Cloth Class, for example, all your plate armor will count as no armor until you unequip it.

But here comes the best part: you get a bunch of Glyphs for your current Class based on your other Class.

So if you are a Mage/DK, you can be a Kel’thuzad.

Haha no

Terrible idea

So, kinda like Final Fantasy’s omni-classing, with restrictions.

First we gotta unlock classes for all. But if I could combine a healer with every class I would

I’d be for this if your character was schizophrenic and would suddenly change classes without notice and out of your control.

A warrior tank would suddenly become a fire mage in the middle of a boss fight, e.g.

I’m generally in favor of this, but I also know the player base will start demanding that all the barriers come down.

We’ll min max the fun out of literally anything. We’ll be choosing the 2 most optimal classes and swapping between bosses. And suddenly there’s an optimal group for every fight and players are expected to learn multiple/all classes.

Will I be expected to want to exterminate the dual class Warlocks only half as much?

Never, our conflict is eternal

“A bunch of what?” - Blizzard

Holy Priest/Unholy Death Knight ought to be the stuff of schizophrenic nightmares…

Yes and no. Yes to it being a real multi class system in that you can use certain non critical abilities from the other class with a nerf on the power levels of the abilities that gets worse based on the difference in levels of your classes. Kind of like the old AD&D multi class system. Then you don’t worry so much about balance of the abilities and gives incentito players that multi class to keep their class levels on par with each other

ff14 has this.

I hate it.

So exactly like final fantasy 14?

The Druid side gets a bunch of Sun-themed effects. Maybe a Holy Cat/Bear form.

The Paladin side gets to be a Warrior of Elune or something.
