I disagree, I think playing meta is more forced in DF then it has been in forever. I just think the meta is more diverse.

rogue/lock
mage/lock

ww/whatever melee
in terms of quality? everyone plays like cringe so it’s not fun lol

I don’t know bubblebuddy’s ratings but I don’t think that is a good indicator of having fun. If I was playing at a gladiator level I wouldn’t be having fun
Unfortunately is true. And triple dps IS meta during cata and IS op I think you are a little confused about this.
When cata season ends let me know if any warriors get glad playing anything besides kitty cleave or kfc or wmp (they won’t because it’s not viable)

Nobody in cata is getting percentile glad or rank one playing with a destro lock(unviable) or with an ele(bad spec) or with an enhance shaman.
Nobody in cata is gonna get rank one on rdruid(isn’t r1 viable)
99% of teams in cata plays some OP afflock shaman x comp OR some kind of cleave that can kill lock shaman(ret rogue hunter, kitty cleave, ret dk disc) OR some mage team that can farm the cleaves (mage lock shaman, rmp, fmp, rsham godcomp)

Then why is it so dead and no one wants to play it. Retail PvP is pretty much in the worst state it’s ever been in. People gave up a long time ago on it. TWW is going to be worse.

The meta where comps like splay and hero don’t dominate sub 1800 players so hard that they choose not to play pvp.

Ya I don’t know about that. I’ve never gone from struggle bussing at 2100 to insta 2400 by swapping healer class in other expansions. Maybe meta isn’t the right word, but I’ve never had so much trouble playing pretty much whatever I wanted in previous expansions.
They lose so badly because of their own skill more than anything else though
True, but playing vs dampeners like splay is definitely a turn off. I don’t play most seasons like this but the mount is cool so I’ll suffer through it.

So, ehnahce is viable then as it’s meta as you’ve put it. There’s a few enhance in higher on the ladder rn from playing triple dps. Idk enough about the state of ele, but can agree we won’t see any r1 destros in the near future. Easily the most fun time to play destro but the numbers are just depressing regardless of gameplay. There’s some druids above 2300 in eu already playing resto so idk about that one. I remember rdruid being less good in cata but not why or if it stays.
I just think you’re over focused on not being able to qeueue, idk, warrior destro rdruid or something. it’s a genuinely fun expansion with lots of options for most specs.
it’s just not better than what came before or probably not better than what comes after.

That is the issue with meta. They always dominate suboptimal comps, otherwise they wouldn’t be meta!
