Hey, I’d like to be able to have 5 or more different builds with multiple set bonuses for each spec in Dragonflight. Something like the sets in diablo 3.
I’d like to see all or most raids be added to timewalking and for it to be available all the time instead of a rotating format that would bring it up every few weeks. So we can isolate the gear we want to aquire and make groups for it without having to wait weeks at a time.
Have it so the old raids scale to max level that way and they could have sets and legendaries that we could hunt down to build our characters in a new/old way.
Dungeons could also have different set pieces, and legendaries that drop from various ones and we could collect them in our journey to KSM. This would make getting tier from dungeons exciting.
I’d also like to see the return or refurbish of the heart of azeroth and the artifact weapons and have them be usable in future expasions. Or make new questlines for weapons that modify our abilities and/or give us new ones along with talents or traits like the weapons had in legion. Also having various weapons to choose from or collect would be great for each spec. The blizzard dev team has more than enough talent to make this happen.
So basically having 5-6 sets to choose from each raid. Dungeon sets, crafted sets, pvp sets, world content sets, and questline sets along with the new talent system in 10.0 we could have incredible build diversity in pvp. This would hopefully shake up and diversify the meta and make it so we could try out new ways to play our characters as time progressed throughout the expansion.
I’ve always thought the sets in classic and beyond along with the sets in D3 were done really well, and I’m looking forward to getting them in Dragonflight.
Side note: Also make it so we can mix and match 2 piece and 4 piece bonuses and try to have sets with 6 piece bonuses if possible.
And last, but not least add a quick match or solo queue system for rated battlegrounds or have random battlegrounds use Match making rating and count towards the weekly chest.
Thanks a lot blizzard! I’ve been having a blast. Great job with the new expansions!
Ok ok you will get your pink dragon…
There is no way they’re going to make 5-6 sets per spec per raid. There will be what? 38 specs in Dragonflight?
Blizzard is not going to be able to balance a Diablo style loadout for every spec. That’d be a balancing nightmare. There is zero way they can make 190 set bonuses every season.

There should be an abundance of sets, not just ONE. Classic had lots of sets. We can go back to something like that.
Having mutliple sets to choose from and being able to mix and match them would be healthier for the game creating diversity.
1 tier set is not enough. I’d like to see new tier sets for nathria and sanctum in 9.2.5 so we can try to get those. Along with new sets in dragonflight.
This way someone on their main could collect all the sets and use them when they feel appropriate.
each new tier should have a new set, but not raise the ilvl of gear. This way each set would be competitive.
The likeliness of what you are wanting will never happen. They are strongly against multiple tier sets working together and have taken many steps to prevent it from happening. The only thing I could think of to scavenge out of your post that could happen is having old raids time walking tuned when their time comes and if you want to grind raid tier sets during time walking then thats fine and they can be brought into current raids. But even then thats pretty far fetched. blizzard likes players doing raids a specific way and having classes a specific way.
That was bad though. Having to mix and match old/worse sets that had less stats just to get the set bonus was not fun.
Sometimes less is more. It’s hard enough for people to get one full tier now and you want to add 3-4 more of them? I’m not about it
I don’t think that many tier sets would work. I would like old raids to become relevant again. Maybe drop the same items as current raids. Just having them rotate every month or so. For instance the month of May could be WOD raid month and blizzard picks one WOD raid. That raid drops the same gear as current raid and resets ever week like raids work now then next month they pick another expansion and one raid from it. So on and so fourth.
the more bonuses you create, the less interesting they become. that is to say there are diminishing returns on creativity.
Way too
for me, good luck finding group if your spec is the only one who need tier set from Nathria.

Also if sets are head and shoulders above everything else, they get played to the exclusion of everything else.
Which is exactly what happens with Diablo sets.
So you mean 1 build or you don’t get invited to anything.
That all sounds great, but I have a request of the game too:
Be fun again, please?
Yeah, you’re right if your setup needed a specific set from a raid and other core classes didn’t have a set they’d want then it would be harder to find groups for those raids.
Well, maybe gear acquisition could change and there could be more prevalent forms of acquiring sets without having to do raids, or dungeons. Crafting and quest chains to acquire new sets shouldn’t create waiting bottle necks in the game like having to find groups in lfg.
When WoTLK Classic comes out and people who didnt play back then play it… then they will come back to retail and will really hate it. See what we have lost…almost everything.
I’d like to see reworks of old sets that could be acquired through time walking and new sets to be added through rep grinds and questlines along with crafting and pvp, but have multiple pvp sets that complement various build paths through talent choices in the new talent tree. Only blizz devs know the talent setups so only they could come up with sets for each spec.
I wish I could post more suggestions for sets, or come up with them myself.
This way players could invest into a set that could be good enough at the time, to then get buffed in a later patch. It would feel rewarding if the set complemented their playstyle.
