Except I never want to step foot into Torghast or The Maw again. It was cool at launch for a minute and I gave it a chance, but it’s way too much of a chore now. Retail WoW has become a game of alts and rerolls, it occupies a similar frame as a game like LoL, albeit with more character permanence.
It’s not like TBCC though where the grind path is direct and consistent and for the most part doesn’t involve too many weird contrived experiences that feel out of place. Grinding dungeons or dailies or primals for gold so that I can raid that week and purchase my PvP enchants is pretty straightforward.
I think retail should just double down on it’s more casual gameplay driven identity ASAP and strip all of the chores out. Or take a page from old school Guild Wars 1 and let players make PvP-only characters.

You don’t have to. I got glad this season on a fresh MW Monk with no leggo
Maybe that’s possible but teammates are gonna troll the ever-living f out of most people for even trying that.
I think that it’s like five runs for a max item level legendary now, or you could just use a low ilev one.
There’s also not really a reason to do anything in the Maw unless you mean a day or two of rift farming for 1.5-3% gain from max ilev conduits.
Unsure as to what’ll be required in the patch, though.
That sounds kind of unpleasant. I appreciate not having to do dungeons/raids in SL. Don’t get me wrong, the amount of honor required to upgrade all of your conquest pieces to duelist is excessive, but at least it’s still PvP.

Yeah but TBC is a much more traditional MMO, the logic of the gameplay and world is more consistent / immersive etc. retail’s identity is SO disjointed that it’s like they might as well throw their hands up and make it feel like more of a MOBA.
You’re really not likely to even bother trying to reroll that often or unlock “allied races” or anything similar in Classic. Unless you’re talking about turbo nerd split raiders and stuff or people buying 15 profession alt accounts for top, top-level gameplay, but I’m sure world first raiders already do that kind of thing on retail.
MMORPGs may not be for you if you don’t like doing any form of upkeep at all, but what I’m saying is that the gameplay required itself is much more “pure” feeling in Classic. When I go to one of my farming spots I’m pretty much going to be in the world, on MY server (no weird cross-server shenanigans). I know about what my server pop and balance is, I even see a lot of the same horde and alliance farming these spots. I know I’ll get some wPvP opportunities farming one area, or if I want to avoid that I can farm Scholo etc.
The game just makes more sense and it’s closer to the roots, Torghast is a really really specific sub-game rogue-lite thing being injected into WoW with a really specific aesthetic and there’s no other option to get the leggo or whatever. Maybe it’s already better IDK but after watching that Venruki video it doesn’t sound like it, I quit SL a couple months after launch… mostly for the poor class design, but the good thing about retail is that even though there’s some lacking class-depth, most classes have been relatively fun to pick up at a low level since Legion, which I think is when alt-culture REALLY took off.
So this is just a case of “old good, new bad”?
Um no? Did you read anything I said? I could go way more into detail but would prefer not to write 10 novels, I did give you at least 3 factors that go beyond anything to do with the age of the game though rofl.
Found another weird passive-aggressive forum weasel.
I’m openly aggressive, though.
No you’re not lol. I know a keyboard warrior when I see one.
“I’m really alpha guys trust me”.
In what world is babypuke a good name

In the World of Warcraft.
People definitely don’t forget it that’s for sure… I’ve gotten whispers a decade after playing on a server with people to prove it. Even in other games “Babypuke from Burning Blade?!” lol.
I agree I never understood why people intentionally name their toons silly names.
But for reals, the barrier to entry in arenas is too high for new players. It’s not as bad if it’s an alt. Mostly just a PITA farming honor since you can get full 220 the moment you hit 60 w/ boxes.
But TBC is a horrible xpac compared to SL in terms of gameplay. You can only arena with one of 5 specs and there’s no dampening.

I started to type a real response akin to “welcome to the internet” and explaining that I made this name like a decade or more ago… then I realized your name is Pooshot.
Solid 7/10.

I love WOW but i’ll never play a outdated game like classic wow. It is just my opinion , no insult to others, people are free to play whatever they love, But if i feel bored about retail wow and i’m not gonna play outdated graphic game, i will jump to another game for sure.
Considering you don’t even have the 1550 achev in 3s lol, I highly doubt that. Why make stuff up
