If there’s anything more fearsome in Warcraft aside from its characters, it’s their roster of extremely powerful weapons. Similar to other fantasy universes, Azeroth has its fair share of powerful weapons, and each race, class, or spec has one that is a representative for them. When you think of an axe what race would you initially consider its wielder? Or would you think of a Demon Hunter having another weapon other than warglaives?
Out of all of the possible WoW weapons, which do you consider to be a part of that classes, spec, or races lore?

I know that Bows should have been the BM Hunter weapon and guns should have gone to MM.
I’m still angry about that because it’s why I skipped the Mage Tower considering they swore they’d be spec-locked forever, and I hate MM.
I think Legion satisfactorily addressed this. The only iffy one was frost DK, Blades of the Fallen Prince should have been a two handed Frostmorne clone. I still lay awake at night wondering what could have been.
That was Blizzard’s view, and those were weapons from lore. I was not think of weapons that have names and a history just the normal weapons you might get from a quest or drop.
Not everyone agreed with Blizzard’s decision on what each spec should have as its artifact weapon.
Guns are definitely a dwarf and gnome thing. It just doesn’t feel right using a bow or crossbow on my hunter.
Only things I would say are that DKs mogging blunt weapons seems completely wrong, DHs not using Glaives feels wrong… and that’s pretty much it. Iron Horde Snipers look plenty fine using guns on Orcs for instance, but their Archers firing burning arrows also look fine. I think most weapon combinations are fine. Someone might say a dwarf with a bow looks weird, but I think a Wildhammer Dwarf all tatted up with his Eagle pet and looking like he just sprang from the bushes looks plenty fine with a bow. You can find looks/styles that make most weapons work for just about any class/race. Even Gnomes can look fine using a bow with some kind of Outlands laser-bow.
