So im casually doing ICC 25 heroic live and just as I entered The Upper Reaches after killing Saurfang’s son, I hear a voice say “congratulations”
It sounds like an undead female’s voice, but I have no idea where it’s from. I have the Eye of N’Zoth and I read that people hear things when they do old raids so I’m just wondering if anyone else has heard voices in old raids as well?
I’m curious to know if this theory with the voices only applies to raids that are perhaps foreshadowing upcoming content. I’ve done quite a few of them so far for a nice throwback, and only heard something during ICC. So who knows

Its probably just the NPCs, after killing Saurfang’s son theres some dialog and stuff but even if you leave the area and continue the raid you will still hear all the dialog, and it often overlaps with more dialog from when you get inside
It’s been in ICC since Wrath.
I got through the traps in front of Rotface and Festergut without triggering them one time. A female voice said, “Well aren’t you a lucky one?”
Yeah for some reason there has always been that female forsaken voice randomly chiming in at that point.
Well that’s quite strange! I never noticed it in all my years of farming ICC
Even now as Tirion destroyed Frostmourne I heard a random kissing sound which never happened before. The weirdest thing to happen was when I solo’d ICC during Legion Pre-Patch, and Tirion’s dialogue when you click on him was stuck to him screaming… just like when he was being attacked by Gul’dan.
Thats disturbing. Like the NPC became self aware but could do nothing about it.
It’s most likely either Blood-Queen Lana’thel or Yogg Saron using his avatars Sara’s voice.
It definitely sounded like a female undead (forsaken), but not either of those you mentioned.
It was honestly quite comical because he goes from screaming in agonizing pain to being perfectly normal during the Arthas encounter, and then back to agonizing pain after Arthas is dead. A whirlwind of emotions that guy there XD
Not gonna lie, if I’d witnessed that not knowing it would happen I probably wouldn’t sleep for a week
