It simply doesn’t deal any frost damage.
Same problem here. No frost damage in the combat log.
Also having the same problem with Warblade of Caer Darrow.
alas, that’s working as intended im afraid - Thunderfury is in the same boat too
back in vanilla, the devs couldn’t get it coded properly
so the +elemental dmg from these weapons is converted to physical and then added to the white attacks
the elemental as physical dmg do go through Blessing of Protection and LIP potions however
but yea, the devs weren’t able to get it coded properly until later xpacs

iceblade hacker does indeed do frost damage as of today. If you hit a mage with frost ward you get (1-5) absorbed.
If it counts for viscidus we don’t know, but at least that looks promising. We’ll know come PTR.
