I play fire mage and have noticed the Hero Talent under Frostfire; “Flame and Frost’’ does not reset Ice Block. Even paired with the mage talent ''Winter’s Protection” (reduced the cooldown of Ice Block to 3 minutes). This should in pairing with “Flame and Frost” allow a Fire Mage to Ice Block - Cauterize - Ice Block on paper but does not function as such in game. Please fix or offer an explanation? Could be a game changer for Fire.
Flame and Frost resets cooldowns of Frost spells for which their BASE duration is shorter than 4 minutes. It doesn’t affect the cooldowns for which get lowered by other spells and/or talents to be under 4 minutes.
Ice Block’s base cooldown is 4 minutes, so it won’t get reset by Flame and Frost.

So what you’re telling me is that Blizzard designed a hero talent for fire to upon your death you have your Cone of Cold, Frost Nova and, Ring of Frost / Ice Nova reset… Seems bad, Arcane gets access to Temporal Shield 45 second cd. Frost mage has Cold Snap, 5 minute cd to reset your Ice Block and other frost spells on demand. Fire mage gets nothing… Even if they implemented a second Ice Block after Cauterize(5minute cd) it wouldnt be nearly as good as a defensive additive as what the other 2 specs have. Hmm?
