No there isnt. Its some people on the forums whining because other people are going to be doing something you think they dont deserve. Thats not an argument or a position, thats just being a toxic gatekeeper because you think you deserve to be special, you arent.

You’ve been insulting everyone in here every time you parrot “turn the buff off”.
Lots of players - a huge percentage in my summation - play this game to compete on WCL. A 3rd party sanctioning body, in essence.
You can only compete when there is competition.
My guild, and lots of other guilds - certainly not all of them, even in our place on the hierachy - prefer raids that are difficult enough that doing them cleanly requires a good team and good execution, not just raw horsepower or stacking to a ridiculous degree.
AKA Naxx 40 (execution, not stacking lmao warrs), SWP, Ulduar.
To circle back, ICC 0% fits this mold. We want to compete at 0%. Because there is NO incentive to play at 0% when the buff becomes active, MOST of the playerbase will accept it for what it is and move on. Regardless of what I choose for my guild, I am ultimately beholden to what most of the playerbase will do - which is either happily or reluctantly use the buff.
TLDR, we want a harder raid. We want to be able to wipe if we play poorly. We want some teeth in the raid while we compete. The buff removes all of that, and hurts our experience. We’re not the only ones.

Then compete with the buff on. The buff literally changes nothing.
Which there will be whether there is a buff or not.
Aka, want to feel special by keeping others out.
Then turn the buff off.

It’s one many share, and it’s why it’s not as simple as turning the buff off.
Then you didnt explain it well enough, or your position is just so bad that it can be defeated by YOU turning off the buff or going to play retail for the harder raids.

No you just don’t understand it because you have an insatiable need to be right, even when you’re clearly wrong.
The difference between you and I is that I can at least understand a different position.
I understand why players would want a buff. I could also scream that if you want an easier raid, go do Molten Core in era. It goes both ways.
My position, OUR position, is a valid one and deserves respect in discussion.

You will still have competition on WCL and I dont know how you cant see that, and the buff is coming so your position is a pointless one no matter what position you say I dont understand actually is. Its the job of the author to get people to understand what you are trying to convey and you are just admitting to your failure.
Your position isnt a valid one. Just turn the damn buff off if you dont want to use it.

If no one turns the buff off, there is no competition.
If there is no incentive for most average players, they will not turn the buff off. If the pool is too small, no one will turn the buff off.
If there is no competition, no one turns it off. It’s a race to the bottom. How you can’t understand this is beyond me, I can’t explain it any differently.
I don’t know what I lost, we’ve been farming HLK in splits for over a month.
Then compete with the buff on and quit whining.
