I wouldn't be mad if Blizzard

delayed the release of Shadowlands so that they have plenty of time to make the game good for every class. I’ve heard and seen a lot of the bugs that are involved with different classes, monk having the worst of it with countless bugs, essays worth of feedback and very little reaction from Blizzard. By the way, no one responds to the flood of feedback on the monk forums until 4 months afterwards. It’s unacceptable, honestly.

We all know there’s a deadline because of shareholders, etc. But you know what? They would probably be much happier if the players were much happier with the game upon release. If Blizzard pushes yet another unfinished expansion it hurts EVERYONE involved - the company, the developers, the players, the shareholders… everyone gets hurt because of what? A deadline?

Please delay it, Blizzard. Make the game good before you decide to hit the launch button. It would only help.

EDIT: I have to add that I’m more excited about Shadowlands than I have been for the last 3 or 4 expansions. I don’t want this to seem like I’m just this random negative Nancy. The developers need credit where it’s due and there’s plenty to look forward to in Shadowlands.

The classic meme, thanks for the laugh.

But nothing is funny about purposely sabotaging World of Warcraft. This is a real life problem. Blizzard needs to be better than this.

I wouldn’t be mad either, but that won’t happen.

why would they delay it? Bfa wasn’t finised. It still isn’t finished.

I’d be fine with that.

You think companies delay things these days because they’re not done? Lmao, no. They do it for every other reason than that now.

I hope Mike Morheim’s new project sinks World of Warcraft. That would be pretty sweet considering how World of Warcraft has been handled over the past few years.

Would be incredibly annoying for a lot of people at this point, vacations are already scheduled and finalized.

I feel bad for people who are spending their vacation playing an unfinished Shadowlands. Especially if they play monk.

What else are people going to spend it on this year? Lol

And unfinished or not Launch is still the best time of an expansion, as much as I hated BfA I still loved Launch week.

Yeah experiencing a new expansion for the first time definitely gets me excited. But for people like me, there’s a strong underlying feeling of disappointment. And it’s not entirely for me, it’s more for people who continually gets screwed over because of the developers lack of communication.

Must’ve missed a blue post or two. Maybe 4. They’ve addressed a multitude of issues through fixes and buffs/nerfs. There’s also the fact that development of SL is pratically finished and all that’s left now is to tune up everything so expect tons of communication about bugs (if you’ll look for it) from blizz.

Wishing ill on a game your playing is kind of counter intuitive. I hope whatever game Morheim’s new group incentivizes WoW to pick up the quality, not just die out. Nothing will quite replace WoW when it’s finally time for this Titan to be put to rest, so I’d rather something actually competitive entice the developers to make a better game, not kill it outright.

Been playing for 13 years and I took a week off. I’ve been working from home all year but despite being home, I haven’t gotten to relax. I don’t trust people enough to go on airplanes to travel, and most places outside the US don’t really want us traveling there. So I run the risk of losing vacation time if I don’t use it.

No reason to feel bad for people who just want to play their favorite video game during a stay-cation. Different folks like different things.

As long as they have money to count, that’s all the happiness they’re concerned about…
You know… hintity hint hint.

You’re right, it’s more of an emotional response than a logical one. But it just seems to me that the developers of this game that I’ve devoted 14 years of my life to don’t really care or pay attention like they’re supposed to. I was fine with BFA in it’s unfinished state and I’ll probably still enjoy Shadowlands. It just really sucks how certain things are handled and how long it takes for communication to happen.

I still hope Mike Morheim’s project is greatly successful and gives Blizzard some competition so it forces evolution.

Oh we all get those, no worries there. Mine comes out in certain forum posts regarding a specific character race, and I 100% understand illogical reactions.

Yeah, I feel you. While gameplay wise the game has always been “fine” to me, story wise I’ve felt almost betrayed by Blizzard lately. BfA was some of the worst writing I’ve seen I think in all of Blizzard’s IPs, and that really upset me.

I have high hopes for Dreamhaven, and I’m excited to see what they come up with as far as games go. Hopefully it can challenge WoW, because at this point I can’t even fully blame Activision when their recent games have been getting good reviews. At this point, it really feels like Blizzard making bad choices, and that hurts my soul.

Even delaying it I doubt monks or shamans would get the attention they deserve lol. And they can’t, not after announcing a release date, it would be pretty bad from a PR standpoint.
