I would still like purple skin for my Human DK, or an option for a WC3-style Undead DK

Like a lot of others here I would imagine, I was a huge fan of Warcraft III. And yes, I was particularly drawn to the story of Arthas’s downfall, and a huge fan of Death Knights in particular and the general Scourge aesthetic.

Well, purple skin is definitely an important part of capturing that “look”. While I definitely appreciate the existing “undead” skins for Humans, they’re ultimately more rotted and zombie-looking than ever really suited them.

I’ve always thought the purple “Cultist” skin from Scholomance would’ve been a perfect fit. Indeed, on sites like Wowhead, you can preview just how awesome such an option would look like. I think that would make a totally fitting and appropriate reward to beating all of the Mage Tower bosses as a Death Knight.

In a perfect world, however, I would love to actually play as an Undead Death Knight, using that same WC3-style aesthetic. It’s abundantly clear that Death Knights were never intended to use the actual Forsaken model, which I think it ultimately a shame, because the story of the Forsaken is one that, in theory, should strike super close to home for Death Knights.

I’ve long advocated for that option, seeing as Undead were the only race that never saw any new cosmetic options for the DK class (at least of the core races), and again, being able to play a WC3-style Death Knight, that still calls Lordaeron your home, would honestly be super hype. Just restrict them only to using the “undead” skins (and the additional “Cultist” skin), and I think that would be a perfect fit.

Bumping, because this would seriously help a lot for my own personal hype-meter. I’m still a huge WC3 fanboy, so anything that gets me closer to reliving that fantasy would be great.

I can support this, I too loved WC 3 and in particular the frozen throne.

Still hoping for this. It’s a skin I feel like has been long overdue (existed since Vanilla), and like I said, if there were any way to play as an Undead DK using that model, I would be super stoked for it.

there are dk in the starting zone with this skin if you look into their hoods you can see the tattoos, would be a good player option

Every race/class needs more customizations that are sourced from the lore and options to deviate from it.

+1 from a believer that more customizations would make the game better.

Honestly I would really, REALLY like to see this skin added for Death Knights.

Using the Dressing Room tool on Wowhead, it would just look incredible with a ton of my favorite transmogs.

You know, maybe this could be worked into a brief quest for Death Knights, discovering the Cult of the Damned is operating out of Scholomance once again. Upon this discovery, Darion Mograine joins you with the Four Horsemen to Light’s Hope Chapel to inform the Silver Hand, and hopefully procure allies.

Obviously, given the Ebon Blade’s previous incursion, they would be met with disdain, but as a former Paladin himself, Darion alleges that the Silver Hand are driven by honor, and that putting down this threat might earn them favor as future allies.

You go there, maybe do an instanced fight in Scholomance against some cultists, and discover they’d managed to recreate the plagued grains that destroyed Stratholme years ago. You rush back to Light’s Hope to inform them, one of the Paladins there joins you in finding and destroyed the plagued grain, and at each point, you’re attacked by some disguised cultists.

On the last shipment, you discover a note detailing not only the shipment of grains, but that a second plan to assault the mass graves in Tirisfal Glades to raise their corpses through Necromancy. But without the Helm of Domination, the corpses would arise as simple mindless zombies, wreaking havoc on what little remains of the Forsaken.

So you journey there to inform the Desolate Council, but Calia is the only person present. You have to act quickly, so she joins you to confront the Cult of the Damned necromancers. You arrive, and rather than simply flee, they quickly merge loads of corpses into a single massive flesh construct, which you fight off.

You kill it, the other members of the Desolate Council arrive, voice their distrust but begrudgingly thank the Silver Hand and the Ebon Blade for intervening, to which the Paladin accompanying you shares the same misgivings of your and the Forsakens’ intentions, but that it was the honorable thing to do.

You return to Acherus with Darion, who simply notes that in thwarting a grave threat, you’ve helped plant a seed in their minds that Death Knights still have a role to play in this world. You complete it, and get the cool Cult of the Damned skin.

+support. Also, PLEASE let my Forsaken characters stand up straight. They let us hide most of the bones, there’s no reason we can’t have a toggle between hunched and upright posture too.

I want red WCII eyes.

I would agree with that. I’d probably also say, I’d dig if they also covered up their fingers and toes when wearing gloves and boots, if using the “non-rotted” option.
