I see y’all talking about retention and this and that, but everyone has their reasons to quit a game. I always come back to WoW on new exp and quit after 3~4 months, simply because in my 30s I see no value in the late game content, I wanna go to a bar, wanna smoke, have my social life, relax, watch stuff. I see no value in battling for gear or powering up anymore, I level 3~4 toons in the new expansion, play a while around the systems and eventually get bored, after all its a game and each time we grow older, it makes less sense to be part of it, life is so much more…
And I am not alone, my friends all do the same. A lot of people simply come back to scratch that itch and jump off, after all it is really boring, regardless of what the developers put into the game, its a game…
Some of you need to stop living WoW like it was 2010 forever, most people would rather be offline than online and counting the seconds they play to see if the $15 is worth or not, stop being stingy.
How much content could a level 11 Tauren Warrior actually do? No wonder why you keep quitting, just saying. Perhaps you should stick it out until you attain a higher level, or even maximum level, because there’s a lot more possibilities for fun.
I drank and smoked my 20s away. Drunk and stupid is no way to go through life. You’re not going to find a social life at a bar. If youre thinking that in your 30s you may turn 40 before you become an adult
I don’t know guys before you get upset is he saying anything that is untrue or unfair?
No one gets to tell someone else how to live their life that’s true… But maybe, just maybe, some of us play the game way too much and our lives are passing us by?
I sometimes prefer playing low levels and going back to old expansions rather than chase gear and rewards. Don’t let others tell you how to have fun. If this doesn’t work though, can I have your gold when you leave?
yeah that was my point, that out of the MILLIONS of players, probably only a few thousand live in the game. Most just want to relax a few hours per day, and sometimes we just want a different game, WoW players need to chill and stop crushing numbers week after week and compare to previous expansions. Sometimes people will quit but still like WoW, is not a live or die for it.
That’s what Im trying to figure out.
I work 4 12’s a week, still go out to dinner once a week with friends, and still have time to raid 2 nights a week for 3 hours and do some m+ on the side.
I go to bars, have a social life, run a business, raise a kid, and play WoW. There’s always ways to manage time to fit it all in, but it might not fit everyone’s style of play.
