More I play lev60 bg, the more I seem to miss the lower level bg, especially the pre-mount pvp’s. So what would encourage you to que up for the lower level bg? I would be encouraged if, I’m able to que up from anywhere. Its hard to get motivated to fly back to major city to que up again if I lose the current que for whatever reason.
If I hadn’t hit 60 already and wanted to spend a ton of time releveling a different toon.
Bgs are super dead in SoM sub 60. They should be able to que from anywhere and the tokens should vendor for 1g a pop and be sellable on the AH, remove the limitations. Yes gold buyers will flood it but fix the bot situation and that wouldnt be an issue.
Give casual players incentive to actually go in there.
Also make it so less than 8 players per side can start wsg. 3v3 is enough for wsg maybe 5 or 6 for AB.
the PvP queues didn’t play a major role in sucking players out of the world oh wait they always will, nevermind!
Maybe just accept the fact that a fire needs to be started to ever get bgs going again and have a single battleground going in all brackets at all times, regardless if anyone is in there just so people can join up. Put a token few npcs in the match that will play as extremely basic roles 3 npcs per side for wsg and 5 npcs per side for AB. And let people play.
Heck even people who join solo will get to feel like heroes against these bots.
there would have to be some incentive like xp gain for it to be worth doing at low level. wotlk does it better since you can level exclusively in BG’s if you wanted to.
There’s only one legitimate SOM Server. There simple isn’t a big enough player base for lower level BG’s. On top of that, most people aren’t leveling alts on a server that’s going to be shut down in 6 months. If someone wanted and alt, they already have one by now.
hahaha. You have bots that have been running since SOM start. Blizz doesn’t care at all
If the xp were good and it was populated
Being able to que from anywhere would do a huge deal.
Queing from a city and then flying back to your quest area running to the named mob you need only to have a que pop making you have to repeat that process if you wanna PvP just isn’t worth it.
Although I don’t think this should happen 51-60 to avoid people queing from enemy cities on dead servers and camping them all day.
A private server I’ve seen has huge exp from battlegrounds, bags with items in for your spec with the ability to que from anywhere. It’s made Battlegrounds and alternate way to play the game and level at the same time. It sounds amazing but I’ll never know because privates are against ToS
IF:
Honor was changed to a currency used to purchase items from vendors like TBC
Gear sets were made for levels
10-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
Imagine the fun of focusing on PvP the whole way and it being viable
Lot of BG players actually prefer the opposite, zero exp gain for pvp, questing, mob kills…etc. So maybe the best idea is make the exp gain variable, from 0% to 200%
Yeah, twinks, who don’t matter.
That reminds me of another thing to motive people to que up. I would que up if the bg general chat was more encouraging and positive. Its especially terrible to see healers getting criticized for ‘bad healing’ and people encouraging them to /afk or to quit the game. You lose a healer here and there and they all add up to dying bg. Maybe offer bg without any chat channel? It should be a standard rule not to criticize a healer, regardless of how bad they are.
- If games actually existed.
- If XP could be turned off to prevent dinging while farming gear.
- If high level enchants were no longer allowed on low level gear.
Mounts honestly need to be taken away from ALL brackets. They’d be much better without any. AV is the only map large enough to justify them in the first place.
if it didnt take 483904823094 mins to find a game… low lvl pvp is the best… i stayed in the 39 bracket for like a month during the start of som… it was the best WoW pvp ive see… and ab without mounts is insanely fun
I also think the 39bracket is the best pvp without a doubt! it has the best class diversity and high enough talent points for ton of fun. What if you were able to signup your lev39 toon via Battlenet, and you get a Battlenet alert when the que pops? The intent is for you to play any of your other toons while the que is happening behind the scene. Would something like that motivate you to que up?
