I would pay real $$ for Allied race unlocks

Honestly, I’m trying to play through Legion content to unlock the races, and whenever I go to do it, I find myself dreading the grind. I dunno if it’s because I’m doing it on my human pally, or if it’s the content itself, but this gameplay is so unappealing that despite the completionist in me, I am having trouble convincing myself to do it.

Strangely, I don’t think I would have minded if I were playing during Legion.

Is it the content? Is it my toon? Or is it because I’m going back to do it?

I just finished unlocking the Legion races. As an person who plays Alliance, I got shafted pretty hard. I played for the first half of legion, so I had completely unlocked highmountain and nightbourne. But I barely scratched the surface of AR and LF. In all honesty to me it seems ridiculous to have any of the allied races locked behind a rep grind.

I can just picture a new player who comes to the game for the shiny, fancy new races he sees being advertised. Only to logon and realize he has to level a toon to 120 and then unlock their reputation. It doesn’t make much sense to me

The Suramar grind for Nightborne is real

I understand you pain OP, I do. That grind was terrible and to undertake it as outdated content must be completely frustrating.

But please don’t give them any ideas.

People are already paying them for faction changes to cheese the rep grind requirements.

What I liked about Legion is that you can unlock all of them with just one alt.

BFA and going forward Blizz will keep it separate requirements.

This isn’t a free to play game. Let’s not start adding that type of stuff into the store, please.

I had all the legion reps done before BFA came out and currently have all but zandalari unlocked. I think they really just should have came with the expansion because unlocking them is just a tedious waste of time. If there was something compelling to the unlock that would be one thing, but having to go do a ton of dailies and other choirs on a max level toon just to unlock a race that you again have to level is just really poor design.

I am imagining some dark robbed figure sitting in a dark room at actiblizzard saying in an evil voice. “Good, good, we have put such a horrible experience into the game people are now ready to give up real money for this. Initiate the next phase…”

They buff the rep you get from nightfallen now.

You already paid real $$

It’s called the expansion.

Let’s not give Activision any unnecessary ideas.

I might pay real money for actual races, but I sure as hell wouldn’t for allied races, even if I do like mag’har, nightborne and zandalari.

That type of stuff is already in the store. Have you not seen the $60 level boosts?

I got legion for free…

Allied race unlocks (and Pathfinder, imo) for previous expansions should unlock when a new xpac comes out. If you got those achievements when it was current content, then those should be made Feats of Strength. But, you shouldn’t pay extra cash for something outdated. This is a subscription game. We don’t buy things a la carte, like F2P MMOs. At least, not yet.

Indeed they are. But let us not exacerbate the situation unnecessarily.

Unlocking HM Taurens were a very monotonous experience. Monotony kills fun. Anyway, i did it because i really wanted that race. Have the option of paying to get a race, i don’t think that could be something bad if you have also the option to get it by playing content, but that content shouldn’t be so monotonous.

Got those three just have those mutated cows. I’m starting to feel it’s not worth the grind

That was probably their plan from the beginning, just be patient.

Leveling can still be done in game. A level boost doesn’t get you anything you can’t achiev on your own.

Store exclusive mounts and toys are cosmetics that don’t change gameplay.

Races exclusive to the store change gameplay due to racials.
