The Kelfin (and by extension other members of the Unshackled) have shown their capabilities in Nazjatar, and proven that they can be a great boon to the Horde. I think they should join up and aid us going forward.
Imagine the abilities they could bring to bear. Aquatic in nature they could become invaluable soldiers and sailors for the Horde. Further the Kelfin’s allies the Unshackled’s sea giants bring naval based siege soldiers to the Horde, and the Makrura could bolster the Horde at sea and along Kalimdor’s coasts.
Plus, Neri is clearly quite a capable diplomat convincing so many to fight against overwhelming odds. I imagine she’d be able to bring in even more Gilgoblin tribes.
Also I just think they’re neat.

I’m sorry, they were quite honestly the most annoying race in the game to me. When I bring a new alt into the zone I have to turn the volume off for the introductory quests because her voice is just so grating.

I think they stuck them down by the Org docks just to troll to people who wanted them as an allied race…
It would have been nice, but we just got Vulpera. I don’t think a 3rd goblin-model frame would be in the books anytime soon.
Don’t get me wrong. Woulda been fun. Just think it won’t be done now that we have Vulpera. Shouldn’t have handed us 2 goblin-model races, which all but means the one we didnt get as an AR wouldn’t have a shot.
They did have them show up down by the Orgrimmar docks. I think it was likely less to troll and more to inspire.
My fear is that they intend to make them customization and we’ll lose out on their racials which I think would be amazing potentially.
I think people put too much stock in the skeletons having to be different from each previous AR.
Vulpera have their place and they’re great.
I maintain that the Gilgoblins could easily not only be different enough with racials and updated models potentially, but that they would lorewise be a wonderful full member of the Horde.

I realize it’s an unpopular opinion. But I’d rather have actual content than allied race reskins to grind old content for.
What defines “actual content”? AR’s are content whether you believe that or not.
I do wish, however, that they didn’t require the grind overall and were tied to story rather than reps.
It would feel more natural and story driven than as just some gimmick.
Imagine instead of a rep you just had to finish out the 4th war and complete the Nazjatar storyline to unlock the Kelfin/Unshackled as an AR.
I digress, while you would rather they work on other content, how do you feel about the Kelfin and the Gilgoblins overall?

I don’t count your race or mine as content. Nor do I count allied races.
They discovered a demographic that is addicted to having 1 of each race and willing to do as much busywork as it takes.
Bleh no… fish goblins are so boring! It was bad enough the alliance got 2 gnomes, do you really want two goblins? I want something NEW like Saberon, or adventurous like Tol’vir would be awesome.

I rather enjoy my Mechagnomes, and also my Gnome. While we’re at it I have two Goblins now. so yes. I want lots of goblin like races.

As far as Saberon I wont begrudge you. Nor for the Tol’vir. To each their own. This thread is for the Gilgoblins and the Unshackled specifically.
I believe they would be a great addition to the Horde.
Oh absolutely. I do not invalidate the desires and enjoyment of the Vulpera players, I am quite happy they are satisfied. I would be remiss, however, not to say that I was incredibly disappointed by their inclusion.
I would have preferred the Kelfin.

Of course. Vulpera were perfectly valid. There is no reason to continue the past your AR vs. my AR. Its a pointless discussion.
And there is no shame in preferring one over the other.

I’d be up for Gilblin and Ankoan honestly. My only issue is that both of these races use skeletons and animations that have been used for ARs already. Give it a bit of time to space them out, maybe tweak them a little bit and you could have something neat for both factions.

Personally I think folk put too much stock in them being the same skeletons and such. I’d rather more diversity rather than less. And I’d rather it come with racials to give each race some uniqueness.
But I respect your view point and I can understand wanting to space it out a bit.

The entire race is annoying. The leader is just the worst one.
In what ways do you find them annoying?
I for one found them quite engaging. Survivors, scavengers, guerilla fighters. They’re very horde.

Along with other such quotes and conversations, the Kelfin won me over quite easily. I sadly cannot recall a single notable quote from the Vulpera outside of their Dolly & Dot song.

The Kelfin were made with more love than most seem to think. They have more backstory arguably than their Alliance counterparts.
Still both races stand on their own and are in my opinion deserving of AR treatment. The Kelfin helped us and in them we found worthy allies of the Horde.
What else is needed to join us?
