With the abolishment of slots comes the possibility of many new kinds of ARs. One of the ARs that makes the most sense and is deserving to be a playable new race are the kelfin. Lets go over the reasons why:
1. A bread and butter partnership between the Kelfin and Voldunai.
They are the perfect race to be a same faction pairing with Vulpera. Neri, Vim and Peon paired with Kiro, Nisha and Meerah. They are both survivalists who have would fit together like bread and butter and be so adorable to see interacting with the horde and partnering up together.
2. Their motivations check out, but they aren’t damsels either
We helped saved the Gilgoblins from the clutches of the Naga, but they also did much of it themselves. They are a competent group of survivalists and they have all the reason to join that Vulpera do. In fact, I think they should have joined alongside Vulpera. Both of them introducing themselves to the horde would have been so heartwarming.
3. They have a lot to offer to the Horde.
Whereas Vulpera are specialists in desert survival, Gilgoblins are specialists in aquatic survival. What better and more fitting pairing for the horde? These two groups would basically both be the survivalist squadron of the horde. Gilgoblins would also bring Crab people and Sea Ogres into the Horde which could serve as a very useful boon to the horde.
4. They are unique both physically and culturally and have a lot of potential.
Even though Gilgoblins take a lot from the existing model, they have a fundamental setup that makes them quite unique. They are an aquatic race which we don’t have one of yet. They are very close to nature, and also have some different geometry with their feet, nose, eyes, fins and also have the possibility for some amazing custom options. Now if blizzard was to put 50% of the effort they put into making Vulpera and them they could look like this.
See! This is what I mean when I say they have great potential.
5. They are both cute races
Okay admittedly this could be debated, but maybe this will make you change your mind.
And I know this is kinda cheating cause these are fan made, but its potential like I said!
I also think that Sethrak and Ankoan would have made an excellent pairing together for similar reasons. Soon or later, I hope all these can become playable at some point.
